Mick Neil celebrating his try like he scored and clearly missed , Rex Mossop got upset he said " I don't appreciate the Balmain players celebrating that Try like Geeses when he clearly missed "

Sand….pffft...Happy use to just face his own goal line and dig his heal into the ground rasing it a few inches.....then pilot his leather balls through the sticks....

Happy was the best goal kicker I've ever seen .
He made Ross Conlon look like Mary Poppins

Pffff…...What are you on about Geo, he would sit on the ground place the ball on his left toe and swipe his right foot through and kick em

I always wondered what ever happened to happy …
He must be in his mid 50's by now ?!

Last I heard he was working as a console operator at a fast food restaurant up north somewhere ?!

Our boys should watch that game and learn from their kicking game. Nothing short of brilliant.

absolutely . You notice how quick they were packing the scrums after a mistake 😱pen_mouth: gee and these guys played 80 minutes .
The tackles had everything in it swinging arms you name it

They could make a decision on the spot and 95 times out of 100 they will get it right .
Who needs a Referee these Days when everything gets sent upstairs anyway , they have no confidence in any decision and every game is a Penalty fest except for Origin games.

Yes well I'm sure it would have been ok if it was Manly. For some reason that old fossil hated Balmain. Dreadful commentator - I'd rather Rabs or Bolts Hadley.

Mick Stone was a top notch ref too. Unlike today's jokers.

Clearly you've forgotten the 85 semi against the Dogs or other instances when he robbed us blind. Greg McCallum was much better.

And Hobbo taught me everything I know

Last time I heard about Hobbo , he starred in that movie Weekend at Bernie's , he was great as the corpse , should of won the Oscar

Nope don't remember that. But he was pretty well respected from memory. I'd take stone over these pelicans today.
