Well that hasn't taken long.
Today is West Harbour's last game of the year, playing away against Manly Marlins.
Can they turn things round and go out with a #bangbangpirategang!?

Would you believe...
West Harbour led their game against Manly with 2 minutes to go, when the ref gave Manly a penalty (which their kicker missed).
Then the ref followed that up with another penalty to Manly, this one straight in front where you couldn't miss.
Social media posts are telling it as it is: "West Harbour were robbed by another bad call from a referee at a crucial time." ........

So West Harbour team subjected to another loss, all down to questionable refereeing decisions.
18 rounds of Shute Shield, home and away.
Not one win this years - and 2nd wooden spoon in a row.
Sounds horrible.
Feels horrible.
But should have been different if some poor ref decisions went another way.
OK, we're fighters - there's always next year!

I thought they won their first game vs Southern Districts

West Harbour don’t have enough$$$ to compete with the more fashionable clubs. The Shute Shield has become pretty professional these days. Wests are a great club irregardless (just like the Tigers).

Oh champion @Dr_Ice - thank you. thank you, thank you.
I lost that result somewhere in the mire of so many close losses.
Yes, the Pirates won 31-26 back in Round9.
As things panned out, that was to be their only win, as far as scoreboard results go. 🥲
