Bankwest Stadium Community Open Day

***It is understood the joint venture is inspecting clubhouses in the Parramatta area so their supporters will not have to celebrate at the neighbouring Parramatta Leagues Club.***

I really don't believe this… Some journalistic creative writing imo

One day soon the penny will drop.. if the Weststigers are going to be one of the clubs to survive the cut of Sydney teams this is the only way this will be possible. This will become very apparent next week moving forward!

A Tigers club has to be reborn somewhere .. remember the Tigers did want to move to ANZ many years ago , makes more sense building or purchasing a club in the area as Parramatta CBD is going to be massive in the next decade with appartments and office space .. why not the West group getting some of the pie more money would be created there than Rozelle ever could .. not so far fetched IMO it is all about GROWTH and the Parramatta CBD is that .
If by chance the club does decide to play most of there games at BankWest why not have a foot print in the area .

I'd imagine it would be more about finding an existing club like Rosehill Bowling Club and doing a deal with them to use it as a WT club on gameday. There is also another bowling club in Harris Park that is no longer used - i'm not sure if its still there or now been developed.

There are a few good size clubs around the area and if we can partner with one of them that will take care of my reservations about playing at WSS. Can't stand the thought of spending money at Parra leagues on game day.

As long as commentators call it WSS and not Parramatta Stadium I'm ok with the move as a temporary expedient. If the media call it Parramatta Stadium they will kill off any enthusiasm for any ohter teams playing there. I wonder what the NRL is saying to the media users as to what to call it during commentary and newspaper articles vs whatever Parramatta Leagues Club is saying?

E
It was referred to as Pirtek in the media by most when that was it's name. A lot of fans will always call it Parra stadium though. I still can Allianz the SFS.

Fans can call it whatever they like, it's the media that have the responsibility not to be parochial and call it the proper name. Look how riled some people got when commentators would refer to WT as Balmain in the early days.

I think that the commentators will be calling it BankWest Stadium, as the bank is stumping up the cash for the naming rights.

I hope that's a joke, Harv…I'm in Bay 114 hoping not surrounded by bed of eels. Didn't make it out on the day.

Thx for photos @mike

Im in bay 116, your seats on bay 114 should be pretty good, what row are you in?

Thanks legend…You're right on half-way I notice. Will be sure to bring x2 empty cans of bake beans & some string in that case, my guy haha. I'm in row 3 - any idea if seats are in descending or acending order?

Looking forward to Easter Monday, should be good. Have to say in all of the shots I see of the stadium, especially overlooking the field it looks so perfect I always think they’re a render, but it’s real.

The upper tiers are in ascending order… Didn't notice the lower tiers... They may start from 1 as well goinb down
