Beau Ryan after round 8

From what we hear tuiaki will be back by round 8

with tuqiri on one wing and assuming tuiaki will go back to his wing what do we do with beau ryan?
from what ive seen from late last year and in the last few trials he has greatly picked up his game, including his defense and leaping ability. So say he doesnt drop his form where does he go?
he isnt a utility player so we cant move him to the bench
could possibly play fullback but that means moltzen who can play utility moves to the bench which im sure we are NOT willing to do.

what do we do boys?

By round 8 it is possible Lote will have made a move to fullback, if Lui is still half and playing well it does represent a connundrum of sorts.

There are several possibilities though from Ryan being left out right through to Moltzen playing centre and Ayshford being left out.

What happens if Tuqiri has an absolute shocker for the first 8 weeks and Tuiaki comes back from injury and also has plenty of shockers? Does Sheens drop them both or stick with them?

out of the players that can play utility being lawrence, moltzen and ayshford id choose ayshford just got the fact that moltzen and lawrence are more developed in their positions then ayshford is.

shocker or not, for the amount we are paying tuqiri he will be there..

So not wasting the money spent on a player is more important than winning a premiership?

You ARE DREAMING if u think other wise...

then shift the round 8 ETA to whatever you think it will be in la la land

I have watched a few games of Lote since he started in England and I am confident that he will make the transition to at least the wing with ease.

However if I am off the mark we actually have some genuine depth in the backline this season with a mix of up and comers and seasoned NRL players so in terms of this season it will not be the end of the world.

Let's try this again…

so in terms of this season it will not be the end of the world ,only a waste of time and money, not to mention the future of any up and comers.

😕 spending 200 odd thousand on someone to play a couple games then move him to state cup because he doesnt perform would just be something completely stupid. its obvious the club wouldnt invest so much in someone if they didnt know and monitor that he had a decent performance on the field.

This is the reason why i don't understand why Moltzen will most likely start the season @.1
He should start the season @ 1/2 back so when Lote settles & reverts to fullback there will be less disruptions with the re-shuffle.
As for Ryan,i think he will survive the chop because of Tuiaki's injury.

Lote's only issue may be fitness and that is a problem that would be corrected in time. His skill set still remains and personally I have no doubt that it will be a good buy.

As for the future of up and comers I personally believe that the NYC competition has created a void for several years of players who seem to be stuck in the ether as they were too old for NYC and not ready for NRL during this time. I take far more issue with players just above flegg age taking up a plethora of top squad slots just to keep them at the club and hope they develop. But that is an entirely different coversation

I'm with T-REXX on the Tuiaki situation, I don't think we'll see him before round 14, if by chance he does recover properly before then, great, but I'm not counting on it, not with the damage done to his ankle. As for Ryan, well at the moment he's looked better than Brown, Fitzy and Daniela on the wing. I'm disappointed Rhys Pritchard wasn't given a go in the trials, but hopefully he'll get a look in later in the year if his form is good enough.

As for Lote, I'm unsure what to expect initially. He's got size, strength and would be at least as quick as Taniela, hopefully he picks up the positional play quickly as well as his match fitness. I think he'll work out ok.
