Beau Ryan after round 8

Looks like CT was right in regards to different rules for mods and mere mortals. Before you dish it out take a look at your own posts, your doing exactly the same thing.

Some of you should know better. Lift you game, trials are over, the season begins in a fortnight!

Huh?

not to sure i get it either

Beau Ryan deserves to be in the team. His improvement towards the end of last year was impressive. Even at full strength i would at least find a spot for him on the bench. He can play centre as well, and is as acomplished as ayshford and moltzen. I was at bluetongue on saturday night and the jury is still out on moltz, not only as a halfback or a fullback but as a better prospect than Ayshford and Ryan. Some on here build him up to be a superstar. I like him, but i am still unconvinced about him… Hope i am wrong

What do you mean? The only person who is ruining Moltzen's game is Sheens himself. How can anyone gauge Moltzen's performance on one trial match when he is an established half who has been converted to fullback. Mind you, Moltzen has pretty much trained the entire offseason at fullback then was thrown in back at halfback due to Marshall's injury. You need to take ALL the facts into consideration.
No need to hope…because you are..

Just my opinion CT. I have taken all the facts into consideration and come up with an opinion, thats all..I would love to see Moltz have a super year, i am just yet to be convinced he is as good as some on here say he is.
Pretty much the same way i am not as convinced that Fitzhenry deserves to be in the team as you are…

  Well ….......that would explain a hell of a lot in regard to Fitzhenry's 119 game career..........

As opposed to YOUR game career?

What…. I'm agreeing with you...Sheens has his favorites.....Players that get selected week in week out regardless of form!!!!!

Beau Ryan has done nothing wrong to deserve not being picked in first grade.
He is fit and able to play
if he does his job competently, thats all we can hope for, then leave him be.
when he does not do this, then let the coach sort it out.

what part of Tuiaki WONT be back for Round 8 do u not understand…
You ARE DREAMING if u think other wise...

Wake up and smell the roses mate... its not going to happen...

Well pretty much every other 'scoop' you pull out is usually wrong, so I reckon for sure he'll be back by round 8.

From what we hear tuiaki will be back by round 8

with tuqiri on one wing and assuming tuiaki will go back to his wing what do we do with beau ryan?
from what ive seen from late last year and in the last few trials he has greatly picked up his game, including his defense and leaping ability. So say he doesnt drop his form where does he go?
he isnt a utility player so we cant move him to the bench
could possibly play fullback but that means moltzen who can play utility moves to the bench which im sure we are NOT willing to do.

what do we do boys?

I haven't read the other posts, so not sure what others have written…

But in my opinion this, to me is one of the most straight forward selection conundrums I can imagine.

If, at some point in the season, Beau Ryan and Lote Tuqiri (assuming that by this point Tuquiri hasn't yet been moved to full-back) are performing well enough to keep a fit and available Tuiaki (one of the best wingers in the game) out of the wing position then the obvious answer is to switch Tuiaki to the forwards.

This, to me, is one of those situations where if it happens we should all be thrilled. I mean, these are the problems you want to have as a coach (and as a supporter)...

There is no way I would move TNT to the forwards.Too devastating out wide.

Id be more inclined to move Beau or Lote into the centres, and Ayshford to the forwards

i know ayshford has played 5/8 in the past, but im not sure if he ever played in the forwards, i have a mate who told me he used to play second row ??

Played a bit of second row and lock for Paddo Tigers and in the Roosters junior rep sides. Also used in the pack for the majority of his NYC with the Tigers I thought

Right now I don't think he is ready for the back row at NRL level.

In a few years you never do know

Beau should stay if he is in form. I like him as a winger. Speed, skillful hands, knows how to find the line and is pretty good when any type of kick comes his way.

we have a little more depth this season so if you are lagging behind with your performances then you can spend some time in nsw cup. this excludes key players. marshall, farah, ellis, lawrence, tuqiri & moltzen. I believe if they stay un-injured for the majority of the season then we will stroll into the finals.

Huh…

He's solid but none of the things you just described...

He did play alot better during the tail end of last season... but with the outside backs we have... why we resigned him on such a long term contract is beyond me.

Opinions are just that. Each to their own.
:stuck_out_tongue:
I rate him. He will score plenty this season…..........IMO of course

Scoops?

u really are a goose… if u call that a scoop mate, knock ur self out..

and if u think someone with that type of injury is going to be back in Round 8 after only having an operation in the last 3 weeks.. ooooooooooook then..

with moltzen at fullback our kick returns, last line of defense and ball movements will all be great

Moltzen isn't good at kick returns.

If Lote plays really bad week after week (which I don't think will happen) then we can't keep him in firstgrade just because of the amount we paid him or because how many bums he puts on seats. Winning games puts the most bums on seats.

moltzen is going to eventually find his position on the bench, he's not that good at the back, and sheens says he wants lui at half. where else do you play him ??
