Right now there is a lot of conjecture and speculation. One small piece (or big piece) may be cleared up tonight.

The thing is, some of us on here have been calling for a player clean out. In reality when these things happen, there is generally a player or two who we don't expect to leave who are the first ones out the door. Whether it's financial or whether there is enough depth to cover their position, well these are all things I assume are taken into consideration.

As for the coach, well if there are any payouts to be made, Sheens will attract the largest sum. Rightly or wrongly this is just the way it is. He'll move on eventually, but the most important point of this situation is, the club needs to be able to AFFORD the right coach to replace him.

what ever m8? how many tries did beau finish with ease! how many tries did he score from little kicks behind the line off his own boot. how many times did he come through in the clutch when put at full back cos we had injuries. how many games did he get through this year and not get injured. how much has he blossomed as a player and comtinued to be THEMOST committed member of our team…imo a great loss

So The Game Plan is on right now. They reported there is a board meeting at Concord right now where it is expected that Sheens will be sacked. They will cross to Concord as soon as the meeting is concluded and there is an official statement to be made.

The panel all agree that the players are stale and have lost their way under Sheens. Matt Parish is rumoured to be favored to take over.

He has worked with Stuart at the Blues and with Toovey at Manly. Sounds like an interesting coach to work with coming from teams coached by blokes who seem more on the intense side.

Makes sense though GNR. Untested coach who'd probably jump at the chance to coach NRL and would come cheap, which would allow WT to go close to paying out Sheens.

If Sheens takes WT to the cleaners if he's already got the job at the Warriors sewn up, he has lost any modicum of respect I had left for him.

He did a great job at Central Qld

He wouldn't be an assistant for Toovey for his looks He is highly regarded

If he can get a Hagan style overseer he'll be fine

Wether its Matt Parish or someone who comes in should Sheens get the boot, i think we're in for another ordinary yr due to our recruitment policy which the new coach won't have had any control over. He would have a free pass next yr in my book, and if somehow we could get into the 8 it would be a remarkable achievment

As much as I dislike him, I cant blame Sheens for wanting what $$$$ he is entitled to…..I would be the same

I would have probably walked long ago if i knew i wasnt doing my job......I cant blame him for getting a good deal

Could Parish be offered a 1 year deal with the option to extend if he succeeds so if he were to fail we could go after a big name coach when we have the money? I wouldn't be in favor of going down such a path, to much chopping and changing for mine but I think getting rid of Sheens should be a priority

If the tigers hire parish, sheens reign here would be seen as a raging success, they need to hire folkes, hagan, or Anderson. Anything less is a waste
