Just on TFS that beau Ryan has retired effective immediately coz of his neck problems.

No surprises there - good decision. An absolute champion of a guy and player who gave everything in each and every game he played for us.

Will go down as one of my favourite ever Tiger.

All the best Beauy!

Liked him as a player but didn't have much time for him as a person. Not sure why though.

Wish him all the luck in the future. He's with ch9 full time now and possible co host of the morning show or some other crap like that.

He can make people laugh and that's a skill in itself. Good luck to him

He gave 100% every game for the Tigers, and although I didn't watch him play much for the Sharks, I can only expect he did the same there.

He was good for the tigers, but great for the game.

Perfect synapses of his career - he has been nothing but a great ambassador for the game, and a complete cleanskin.

I hope when they Tigers play the Sharks in Rd 26 they do something to honour him.

Pretty sure his last game was against the Tigers

He gave 100% when he stuck the jersey on and you can't ask for more than that

Passionate footballer

A passionate clubman who gave WT and NRL fans many thrills..wish him and his family all the best….although it sounds like he'll be earning a very decent quid with a bright career at CH9...met Beau in the Tigers dressing room after a game in 2010 and Beau gave my son his footy socks...he still wears them!...

He has a fantastic media career ahead of him, that is what he will be remembered by..

But he is/was a fine, classy winger. Not amazing… But definitely NRL standard and then some. Great finisher, wonderful club man and a cult hero the game will miss.

His try scoring strike rate was pretty damn good when he was with us if wikipedia is correct. Almost a try every second game.

He scored some crucial tries with his grabber kick down the sideline.

There was a time when it seemed he was the only Tigers player giving 100% on a weekly basis.
He stepped up and carried the team, and took his own game to another level.
No doubt he'll step up likewise with his media career and take that to another level.
Wish him well.

Beau I found very likeable whether he was playing for us or the Sharks. He really gave it his all every week and when he was not having a good game it bothered him. He played a lot more games than most players of his ability and he had a blast doing it. In 10 years he will still be doing his footy show stuff which he will probably be remembered for, but he was a handy player.
