Beau ryan-your kidding

Mate…that was one of the best bombs I've seen in a while...the fact Minichello took him out when he was trying to make up for his mistake...made it look worse...

He caught a similar one in the first half....

He had a good game apart from that mistake,.he wasn't the reason we lost....

100% right

Great bomb by Anasta. ABC and 2gb Radio were supprised the Try was awarded.

Interferance was their cal.

Lets face it - We should have been up by a couple of tries not a ouple of points.

It was a monster of a bomb, id say a fair few fullbacks would have struggled with that towering kick…...i wish the tigers could put up a bomb like that from 45m out

Beau had the sun in his face, and its was a massive spiral wobbly bomb. No one but garry jack would have caught it

I have to admit it was one of the best bombs I seen put up this year, and the thunder of the chase by Mini and Carney was even better…..I knew we were in trouble as soon as it went up

PS, the sun wasn't in Beau's eyes as he was facing south

Alad… he was running due west to catch the thing mate......the ground runs North South so yes he was facing south when it went up...

Lots of silly errors yesterday. Can hardly blame Ryan for the loss. I think he has been quality at the back this year.

The question i would like to ask is where were his wingers in support? The bomb was in the air for a minute and everyone was star gazing at it. Demonstrates our lack of desire to go the extra yard when the game is on the line. Our kicking game today was the only thing that kept the roosters in it…no patience...only one repeat set i can think of. The best teams will just grind you to a pulp if you hand over that much possession...but what do we do....try and score off every tackle. Benji needs to put the chip kick away until the team learns to play percentage foootball.

I dont think you can blame Beau at all for that, yes he dropped it at a very crucial time in the match but he took some great catches during the match and all round had a very good game IMO. Very unlucky, plus I didnt think that try shouldve been allowed anyway.

Ill go with that.

I can forgive Beau for yesterday, but if it happens every week then we have a problem.

I can't believe there's people having a go at Beau for that. That was almost impossible to catch cleanly. No way you could hold Beau responsible for that.

mate you try catch a thropedo bomb in the 75th minute with sun in your eyes. you probably wouldnt even touch the ball

As soon as he kicked it and it started spiralling the heart started sinking in the grandstand for me

Not so sure Geo… The sun wasn't a factor... he got himself in a very poor position to take the catch really...

Lets not forget that Mini was running absolutley full tilt at him. It takes great experience to zone that out completely

Yeah well they turned the lights on so maybe the Sun was behind a cloud…

Fox 2 replay at 4.30 today will reveal more.....

BTW it wasn't making an excuss for Beau it was a difficult catch either way...

You're gona watch that again? Man of steel!

I think Beau has been doing a great job since his move to fullback so i cant be too harsh on him for the mistake, but please he is playing first grade footy at fullback.
A bomb like that MUST be caught, no question. Some of these excuses people are making for the drop like the sun was in his eyes are just laughable. It was an uncontested catch which he dropped cold, no excuses please.

He was a good yard and a half out of position.

That said he was one of the better players yesterday, and those repeat sets we had in the Roosters territory should have had us out in front by at least 8 points. They wasted most of those sets trying to get Ayshford and Fitzy over the line, and they had their defensive line stacked on our left side. Our piss poor attacking options during that 10-15 minute period say more about our loss yesterday than one dropped bomb, even though the dropped bomb directly conceded the points that won them the match.

It's pretty harsh if amongst all the dropped ball, poor angles & general riff-raff & mailaize the Tigers showed, that Beau Ryan's drop of a pretty decent bomb is to be blamed for the Tigers loss.

It wasn't good- don't get me wrong- but hardly the thing that stands out in my mind as the 'worst part of that game'.

I'm not going to be harsh on him for Sundays game. I have been impressed with him at fullback up to this point.
