Beau ryan

Chris Lawrence is a gun centre. Any winger would love to play outside him.
I honestly think Ryan is a better option outside Lawrence at the moment than Tuqiri.

One of his best games of the season tonight. Solid runs, broke the line, backed up in both attack and defence. He has a big heart for a small guy and lots of passion.

I just think that it will take Lote too long to find his best. If anything maybe put Lote to fullback?? Moltzen isn't setting the world alight at the back and if Lote has to be in the side then I would like to see him at fullback.

When Lote returns, Beau to 14 and drop McKinnon. Fill out the bench with 3 forwards.

We have a problem. 3 into 2 will not go. I may get shot down for this you cannot drop Ryan or Utai at the moment. They have both played great these past 2 games. I think Lote is just a name. I think he is too old and too slow. I would not change a winning side.

What does everyone think?

I'd drop Utai for him.

thats not an easy choice to make though - What I would do is have Utai on the Bench the Game that Lote
returns.

1\. Moltzen (sigh, i'd pick brown, but im being realistic here)
2\. Ryan
3\. Ayshford
4, Lawrence
5\. Tuqiri

..

14\. Utai,
15\. Woods
16\. Groat
17\. Payten

Thats a pretty jacked bench.

while the sides winning and since its been 4 on the trot moltzen wont be getting dropped. utai should come off the bench when lote's back. his explosive runs are more effective at the interchange.

i love how beau ryan is so keen to take a hit up, or run off dummy half.

Tuquri doesnt have that/doesnt do it aswell.

Utai to bench

2\. Tuqiri
3\. Ayshford
4\. Lawrence
5\. Ryan

If Tuqiri is fit I would play Ryan in the centres and Lote on wing If not play Ryan in centres and Brown on wing I think . Brown can be suspect in defence in the centres as seen in first Saints game

Ryan to fullback mate. Tuqiri and Utai on the wings. Moltzen to Shellharbour to cement his reggies position for next season. McKinnon can go on an early vacation too. Brown for bench back utility.

I'd move him to fullback in light of his recent performances, although with Lawrence injured and Tuqiri not due back for another couple of weeks, Beau will stay on the left wing for a couple of weeks yet. He had a very good game tonight and showed good pace to support Lawrence, although I don't think Rowdy has all of his pace back after the hip dislocation.

Had a blinder tonight. Really starting to play well outside Lawrence. If he keeps playing like this you'd have to drop Utai when Lote comes back.

The pace shown to back up Rowdy and go away to score was not something I've seen from Beau.

Never been a fan of his football but he was excellent tonight. Happy to eat humble pie when a player proves me wrong. Well done Beau.

I said the same thing to my old man… very impressive.

Long been a critic of Beau's, but he's been playing some good footy lately. Especially when the side was down and out for that period, he was one shinning light.

Humble pie never tasted so good! Great stuff B. Ryan!

I've never doubted his workrate, but I've been annoyed in the past by his lack of pace and by his costly errors. But tonight he played out of his skin. Beau Ryan, man of the match.

the guy grows on me more and more every week
i think the only reason he gets the rap he does is coz of his clowning around on the footy show
the guy has the heart of a lion

It was another excellent game from Beau. Great to see him finding a rich vein of form at the right end of the season!
