Can't say I know the feeling, I live in Penriff and work at Eastern Creek!
EDIT: The worst thing the last government did is take the toll off the M4\. Combine that with the fact that Sydney drivers as a whole are idiots who don't know how to merge at speed or keep left unless overtaking also and you've got a right mess.

I live at Rooty Hill and work at Strathfield South. I'll often go along the GWH and get on the M4 at the Cumberland Highway or at Westmead, but it's a lottery every day as to how bad the traffic is. On Thursday it took me 40 minutes to get to work. Today, 75.
M5 is worse. Toll or no try getting to the airport in the morning.
A few weeks back I left home at 5:15am for a 6:45am flight and I live near Henry lawson drive.
Ps trains these days are almost as bad an experience these days due to the crowding.

Spartan, after having been on trains in Berlin, London & Rome, I can first and foremost say crowding on Sydney trains is nothing.
