The reasons he gives for staying are just as great as the news of his contract extention. I love the spirit this club has at times.

On the signing, im very happy. Im a believer players and coaches should never be signed for more than 3 years at a time, but overall im very happt Blake re-signed. I would like to see him work hard on his game as a centre and not rush a move to the backrow. I believe he shouldnt be looking at the forwards for another 4 or 5 years. I think it should be in the backend of his career when he makes the switch.

It's all good news with Blake's signing.
I agree that he is solid now and has the potential to develop into a Matt Cooper style centre over the next 5 years.
We all wish the team would turn their words into deeds - consistently. The next two games will define the 2011 Wests Tigers.

Lawrence to the forwards would be an absolutely disgraceful move. Why would we ever move someone with his speed to the pack? If Sheens ever entertains that idea (and i know he has), then that will do me. Besides, he isnt as big as some people make out. He's a nice size for the centres and his speed would be wasted in the backrow considering we have so many qaulity backrowers that can get on the edges like Dwyer, Murdoch and Ellis. Simply no need to ever move him to the pack and lose the strike power outwide.
This obsession with turning centres to backrowers is really starting to bug me. If a player naturally evolves over time to be better suited to the pack i.e, Ricketson, Wiki etc then thats fine, but if a centre is still dangerous as a centre than why move him to the pack?
