All I know is the status quo isn't working, so I'm not against them appointing someone who isn't a bloke. Hopefully she does a better job. The players need an official there that will take them to task, and I'm hoping she'll go in with that attitude.

This will get taken the wrong way no doubt , but seeing the male referees get left for dead by the current players speed wise I can't possibly see how it will be any easier for Belinda

Current male referees are making errors under fatigue , again I struggle to see how Belinda will cope any better

I'm just using the current athletic records as a guide , but when males are compared to females they lose 1 second every 100 metres

If I sound like I'm being sexist I'm not , just being a realist

To make the right call , you have to be in the right position to make the right call

You'll never know if you don't try.

I don't have a problem if they do , it probably can't hurt until we win 6 straight and are on the end of a farcical call because of fatigue / bad positioning

Isn't she the touch judge who missed a NQ foot into touch in an u/20's semi that saw the Wests Tigers eliminated? Perfect grounding & deserving of promotion.

Yep.
Also the touch judge that did nothing to try and stop play when Nene Macdonald went down with a broken ankle earlier this year.

Best of luck to her though, God knows we need a shake up of the refereeing ranks.

Really? They were gutless indecisions that shouldn't have been rewarded with a ref appointment! I'd have given the honour to Badger, at least she hasn't made clangers like those during her time on the sidelines.

Gee it's not like I haven't seen these jokes like 12 months ago.

Highly original stuff.

No one said they were new ... but they are topical.
Get out of bed the wrong way?

Slept really well, thanks for your concern.

Just pointing out that they've been done to death on just about every social media platform.

@Cultured_Bogan he needs to win votes for MVFM, no chance though, much like some of these ‘blokes’ trying to undermine good changes within the game for their own personal problems and relations with women. Imagine maligning a referee that you’ve never seen officiate?

Pretty disgraceful, IMO. Again
Even if she was any worse than the current crop it’s nice to see not all women see our game going down the gutter atm.

Hopefully she has (speaking carefully) more "balls" than todays current refs...

The ref for our game is adam gee...

Yep, she was pretty good. Missed a couple of things but then so did the other ref. Nothing out of the ordinary.
