Rumour has it the Cowboys are seriously eyeing off Alex Johnston …

I don't think it'll be too long before Val Holmes is wearing the 1 for the Cowboys.

I'm taking bets with anyone that wants to give their money away that Val Holmes will not play 1 minute of NFL.

Wouldnt be surprised if he's back in the NRL this season if a club has cap room.

Is he a back-up?? Pretty sure if he can catch a ball and run the speed he used to but in an NFL suit, he'll play a hunna %

Cowboys should double down and see if they can get Robert Lui from super league as a replacement

Johnston has been ruled out by Bennett but the other name that has sprung up overnight is Bevan French

I reckon you'll find either TMM or Carlin Anderson will wear the 1 jersey Rd 1

$27 / hour , better money than James Segeyaro working as a Barista

But as you said Willow welcome to reality

Good work last week as well Lieutenant Dan …..keep it up the good work

@TheDaBoss, that will last until he fails a breath test the morning after one of his regular sessions.

Lui is of Torres Strait Islander decent born in Townsville Queensland so splitting hairs..

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples are the first inhabitants of Australia. Old definitions based on skin colour or percentages of 'Aboriginal blood' have been replaced by modern definitions which stress ancestry and identification as the key to Aboriginal identity.

Today, the Federal Government defines an Aboriginal person as someone who:

* is of Aboriginal descent;
* identifies as an Aboriginal person; and
* is accepted as an Aboriginal person by the community in which he or she lives.

Aboriginal people comprise diverse Aboriginal nations, each with their own language and traditions and have historically lived on mainland Australia, Tasmania or on many of the continent's offshore islands. Torres Strait Islander peoples come from the islands of the Torres Strait, between the tip of Cape York in Queensland and Papua New Guinea. Torres Strait Islanders are of Melanesian origin with their own distinct identity, history and cultural traditions. Many Torres Strait Islanders live on mainland Australia.

**The term 'Indigenous' is used to refer to both Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.**
