Ben Elias on The Game Plan

Elias certainly got his point across quite clearly. Blocker went into defensive mode and looked a bit flustered at the end, particularly when Benny said us Balmain boys always stick together! Benny is 100% right about Farah being the right choice. I laughed when Blocker said Farah doesn't throw his shoulder into the tackle. Um Blocker, neither does Ennis in case you haven't noticed, and Buderus, he's not the same defender he was 6 or 7 years ago.
 
That was so frustrating to watch. When blocker said the stuff about "sticking the shoulder in, Robbie is a wrap up tackler, doesn't get down and dirty", when the &$@K does Ennis hit???!!!!!!!! if he's not third man in and then niggling, he misses one on one!

Wish Elias asked Blocker about Ennis being that tough defender…

Benny said there is one thing at the tigers we stick together and we back one another. Basically asked blocker if he still bleed black and gold.

Farah managed to suit City/Country. Roach's BS statement is mimicking from the standard brush off answers when you can't think of one.

No hooker in the game tackles the way Blocker was talking about. Blocker mentioned Robbie and Benny are similar players in the style they play the game yet Blocker never questions Bennys toughness. Benny played 19 origins and his style survived when the games was tougher.
 
We have spent 6 years picking origin type players while qld have picked players with skill -luckily we have dominated oh no hang on we have been flogged every year perhaps it's time we picked players who wernt origin type players like Robbie and perhaps we could win a series -perhaps if we picked real coaches and not dead shits like Ricky and blocker as coaches (didn't blocker fail repeatedly in his coaching attempts) and as Benny said tigers stick solid blocker should have his membership cancelled
 
On ya Benny

Even If Robbie were to eliminate his so called "creativity", he should still make the blues on his defense and straight-up dummy half running alone. Who's better?

When Elias said "blockers comments had offended Robbie" it made the whole situation seem very childish.Robbie ur good enuff son just rip in over the next month n let ur footy do the talking.then they have no choice but to pick ya :wink:

I haven't seen this yet (anyone have a video?) but it sounds like Blocker was cut up when Elias questioned his Tiger blood. He is right too, what Blocker said was a dog act.

Elias handle it very well, mentioned he had spoken to farah who was a bit upset by blockers comments.

Blocker then said so is Robbie upset that is said his "style of play" doesn't suit origin ? To which Benny responded no he wasn't upset at the comment but more so that it was said in public by a well respected legend of the tigers, it went against the Tiger code of sticking together!!!

The best point that Benny made related to the fact that in NSW always discuss opinions and selections in the media while qld keep it under wraps, the coach comes out and says he prefers this player over these etc causes disharmony. To which blocker responded Ricky doesn't do this it's "other people" that write this stuff…. Ummm doesn't Stuart have a column in the terrorgraph ?

Blocker who is on the coaching staff and comes out publicly and says Farah isn't up to origin
but it's the "other people" who are doing this… what a tosser :laughing:
