It's a god damn travesty that this guy has ridden the pine at the Broncos for as long as he has. Unfortunately I don't think we have a place for him but if other clubs aren't throwing big offers at him they'd be mental. The Dragons, Panthers, Eels and Warriors should be trying to move mountains for him.

If the Broncos lose both Norman and Hunt to the Eels then LOL. Norman is a bit of a hack but Hunt will carve up there. I'd be inclined to play him in the halves though and move Luke Kelly to hooker. Kelly has a bit of toughness about him that makes me think he'd do well at nine.

1\. Hayne
6\. Sandow
7\. Hunt
9\. Kelly

But I suppose the thinking is:

1\. Hayne
6\. Norman
7\. Sandow
9\. Hunt

Which is still pretty good. I think Hunt would be quite wasted at dummy half though, he's a natural halfback, a rare commodity.

Broncs might be clearing the decks for Izzy

Broncos are like us, they payed for Prince, he's a big name and was a good player. There is a obligation to play him, much the same spot we are in with Anasta. You don't put big names to start on the bench, people would call you crazy…....so what do you do.......you play them in your 13 and suffer...!! No wonder Hunt is looking around. A good player, but not a cracker player.

Never really heard of him…

Not sure if your serious or not? but I haven't really seen or heard of how he plays nor where he plays 😕

EDIT: Sorry, he's a halfback, got that now. Still, have Bronco's had him as half prior to 2013? Atleast for a good chunk of time, cause I don't recall ever noticing him.

Hunt has been the bench hooker for the Broncos his entire first grade career for no reason. He was the NYC player of the year in 2009 as a halfback and captain of the premiers. They have given him an unbelievably small amount of time at halfback and every time he has been there he's been good. He comes onto the field and the Broncos look a different side, goes off and they suck. He makes McCullough look stupid and is reason number one as to why Anthony Griffin is a nuffy coach. He can defend, run the ball, has vision and a good kicking game. He'd be better than half the current halfbacks in the comp and that's without getting settled. He's being robbed of opportunities at Brisbane.

Players usually are on the outer for a reason….lack of talent, attitude etc. No coach would not play a player who is gonna make their team better, after all it is in the coaches best interests to have as many wins as possible is it not?

Supposedly but Anthony Griffin is Sheens level of playing favourites. Plenty of gun youngsters have been held back by selecting nuffies there.

Griffen was coach of that NYC team that Hunt played in, he was not captain, ALex Glenn was captain.

Ben Hunt was a surprising winner of the player of the year, mostly because in the first year the best players all ended up in first grade, and Manly who were easily the best side took points of each other each week, they had Foran, DCE, JWH, Buhrer,Lussick, MIchael Oldfield, they would have easily won the comp except come finals time a number of those players were in first grade.

As a player he is very hard working and takes fairly good options, his skill set is too limited to be a front line half back at NRL level, does not kick overly well and his running game is average at best..
As a back up hooker he is perfect. But that is where he lies.

If you need a second hooker, he'd be perfect.
