Benji 2025 and Beyond

There’s a trend or stat if you like that I’ve taken note of recently that’s gone a long way to reveal who of the bottom eight will be in the top eight the following year. So far it’s on track.
With us we have improved in this area by 50% on our previous seasons and we still have 10 games left.
I’m interested to see if we continue in this trend by the end of the season.

Can you explain how this stat/trend is identifed and tracked. I'm interested to understand the workings.

It should considering we have an additional $2 million worth of player in the team this year.

In regards to the TDS situation, it is clear as day, Benji is just worried about the now and not the future.

He just wants to keep Api happy with a promise of an upgrade for 2028.

He knows, there's a good chance he won't even be around then, so why does he care?

Idk about Benji and him being a FG coach.

Our team seem clueless in attack...

Do we have a playbook for certain plays during certain situations?...I doubt it.

The players seem to be told "just go out and do your best"....

Maybe Galvin was right....Our coaching sucks!

Where to from here....It will be tough avoiding the spoon again!...7 losses in a row is now a certainty with not much hope beyond....

After starting the season with hope this would be a good year, even if we just miss out on finals....I'm afraid we are all being set up for another major disappointment...

Richo can talk up the 2025 side as much as he wants to.....deep down I'm sure he knows what the reality is....I just hope he has a plan...

Richo is not a mug. He will move on Benji next year if this continues. The reality is whoever the coach is down the track the roster has to be improved in quality and depth. Removing Benji now will create bigger issues. Outside of a few weeks this team plays hard for their coach.

The job was really for an experienced operator but that horse has bolted.

Plus when you look at the coaches who are available it doesn’t exactly make you one of think these guys will get us finals bound. Walters 👎👎, Barrett 👎👎👎, Griffin 👎👎👎 all terrible and wouldn’t be a quality replacement. Some on here have said Burgess he’s having a terrible season in the SL nowhere near last year so was it a fluke? Only one that’s available that the club can kinda get away with is Brad Arthur, but even he is a risk despite being the best one available IMO.

Since Sheens and then Benji took over we have become the worst coached team by a massive distance evidenced by the spoons we have collected.

Say what you want about Madge but he had them playing much better than this with a worse squad.

I don’t know how they navigate this but Benji has to go.

I think Benji has something to offer and he genuinely cares.

I know he's got his friends beside him - Morris, Hodgo & Heinington, who I all like to an extent.

2025 we will remember;
- Galvin season derailing campaign
- TDS, "I'm so good, I should start.. oh no, I'm actually not."
- Losing games we could've won and continuing to fail.

I cannot narrow it down to why we're so bad.
Is it a personnel issue? Within the coaching staff or the squad? Every year, i think we're not far off and when it clicks, we'll be great. Yet here I am again this year saying the same thing. This team is just so incomplete and missing something that is clearly important because we cannot get the wins.

Josh Hannay and Matt King. Also should enquire if Webster is home sick.

Ben Gradner would have been ideal. Penrith boys would have got everyone on board with that.

The smarter approach is not to sack Benji but to restructure his support, and provide the environment for success. HBG needs to invest in the success of the Wests Tigers. With a proper support structure (e.g., a strong GM of Football, experienced assistants) and time Benji is likely to turn the corner
This wont be happening all they care about is their blazers and the feebies at the club

We can’t go with someone who’s never been a head coach before. If the club is gonna move on from Benji it has to be someone who is experienced. Would have been fine with Gardiner but I doubt he would’ve come back after getting fired. Webster same thing.

Depth is an issue and when you take Luai and Bula out, Koroisau is the only player left.
