Benji 2025 and Beyond

We aren’t seriously going to entertain another off season with him are we? Look, I will always choose my words carefully cos he’s not just anybody. I love the guy, probably the biggest club legend we have. But get serious, we cannot waste another season with him at the helm. Idk what the club does. As there aren’t a stack of quality options, and we probably missed the boat for a guy like Brad Arthur. But please, it cannot happen again in 2025. If it does, the goose is already cooked. Luai or no Luai.
Pretty sure Benji will still be in charge round 1 2026, unless there is a string of disastrous losses leaving us with another spoon. Which is a possibility.

Brad Arthur would be a mistake.

We need someone proven, like an Andrew Webster from the Warriors... Look how their KOE team is humming..

If it's not someone top tier, then stick with it... Until there is someone top tier...

So Richo should wait till someone falls from the tree, the same way he does with players? That’s ironic.

youre right, let's go sign someone for the sake of signing someone who might take us from 15th to 13th, watch them fail, lose the plauers that are worth keeping, blame the coach, and start the process again.. genius stuff.

All good. We’ll just continue to flounder. The players love him though. Can’t win for him. But they love him. That’s good at least.

He'll be the first one to criticise the new guy after 10 rounds.

Read his post history if you want to develop deep depression.

Id rather they flounder and fail together, then realise it's time for a change because there's a coach with a track record who can come in and take us to the next level.. that way we don't risk losing the quality players we do have... because they bought into the plan and failed with it.. and also realise it's time to make a change...

And why replace an average coach with an average coach, to achieve the same average results? Its typical corporate type stuff where they have meetings about meetings about meetings... Its activity for the sake of activity.

Ryan Carr from St George, Josh Hannay, Willie Peters although just resigned for 2 years.

Never understood why we rushed Benji development should have coach Flegg for 2 season, then into Koe Cup this would have given him the experience and the chance to refine his game plan
Yes I never understood this thought process to rush in with Benji

Benji only wanted to be a coach if I was guaranteed the job immediately.

Your kidding me.

So Brad Arthur, the assistant at Manly when they had that massive finals run. The person who then coached Parramatta to a grand final and from memory a few finals appearances is "unproven"?

Look Andrew Webster was here. Now, he is in New Zealand. Would I like him as coach, Sure... but I would also like Bellamy, Bennett and I will throw in Ricky Stewart...

Brad Arthur is the only experienced coach without a club at the moment.
