Benji better goalkicker than Soward

Just come across an incredible stat - As of last round Benji is a more accurate goalkicker than Soward
Benji is kicking at 73% while the little marching boy is kicking at 72%

yep. he has really become a good goal kicker. i used to say he was a good kicker but always missed (sounds weird i know - but he would always strike well but off line!).
i guess with so many shots from out wide he finally got the hang of it!

btw, sowards routine is ridiculous. what is he OCD or something? …or should it be CDO so its in alphabetical order?
used to sh1t me all the imitators doing the jonny wilkinson golf stance too...

Benji has improved as he trying to kick the ball straighter and not trying to curl the ball. Hodgo kicked this way and he is now far more consistant

maybe because i played a lot of aussie rules (about 20 years!) i have never understood why kickers want to curve it? from the non preferred wing the chances of getting the ball through must be way lower. I've always thought jason taylor had the right idea in that he kicked with a more afl style, lower trajectory.
maybe because el masri was so good?
anyway, not like i was darryl halligan or anything… :laughing:

ps macman: is that benji's career percentage? sounds right because he was pretty low and has been dragging it up as he has improved
