Benji injured

Seems to make sence with the effort tonight and maybe why he played at 1/2,definatly not himself.

Benji's efforts in defence were HUGE today. Definitely saved us and hundred percent inspired the rest of the team.

Wasn't at his best with the ball, but not bad at all.

I cannot remember him running less than what he has this year in his entire career so far. It's hurting the Tigers attack bigtime.

He is stifling our attack at times. I dont know what is going on but he is just playing with no confidence.

That play tonight where he ran 30 meters across field and then produced that retarded kick was embarrassing. I am laughing about it because it was so inept and so un-benji like…..I dont know whether his natural flair and play what is in front of you mentality has been coached out of him or whether he has made the decision to not back himself but we really need it back.

We can not make the 8 without him running the ball and producing those freakish line breaks. I miss them....the team misses them more.

My guess is he had flu or something, just looked lethargic and under the weather

Prime example.

When big ben made his sideline break tonight Benji, as he always does, was the only supporting player. Ben gets the ball to Benj. Normally Marshall would produce a right foot step, head infield, jink, swerve, run in a circle, dummy to no one, step again and score an amazing try.

Tonight he produces a left foot step, back into the defence, and offloads to his prop forward who has just raced 70 meters to set the whole play up and is pinned on the sideline with the defence screaming across towards him. Why didnt Benji have a go himself? Who's worsds are ringing in his head when he gets the ball? Last year he would have backed himself. This year he is acting like a conductor.

I have to agree. Watching him behind the play, he was moping around and didnt look crisp/ I bet the flu too. Some good defense though.

Defense was good though.

I agree, in that his defence was really good but he was more rocks than diamonds in attack. But he was under so much pressure tonight playing 6 and 7.
Lawrence is rubbish in the halves.

At the start of the game the entire side looked ragged from the warm up to me

I spoke to benji after the game and he was fine.No flu

Im curious as to how you extracted that information from him; "Benji your attack was, shall we say limited tonight - were you suffering from an infectious disease?" Or was it more direct?
