He's been killing it.
Why?
He has been bought back to earth with a thud..
He was no longer the hero - the individual - the superstar.
Now he is playing ego-less.
This was impossible @ Wests Tigers
At least we got a premiership out of him.
Phil Gould is partly to blame for the past. He idolised his brilliance.
He was just a kid
However Phil Gould is also to be praised cause he helped sow the seeds in Benji via the idolisation.
This & playing as a team player & not a hero -
could get St. George Illawarra in the 8.
He is quickly finding his new identity.

Benji career graph has more curves than a supermodel. I wish him the best with the dragons unless he's playing against us.

He's a really good player but he probably has the crappiest attitude.

He has had a few good games (meaning he hasn't done any stupid mistakes).

Watch him when he is under the pump playing a good team you'll quickly change your mind.

You know the old saying 'a change is as good as a holiday' - guess he really needed the change. Pity for WT and us fans he couldn't find this new mature style of play whilst he was still wearing our colours, but that's way the cookie crumbles ay.

you could be right - but he never played like that for us.

I think its more that we noticed all the bad things when he played with us and only see the good things now he's left.
Having said that he's much better than last year but well past his best.

You'll find the Quality of his centre pairing is definitely helping his cause….

Who cares, he took our money and then told all that he wasn't putting in and needed a challenge.

I will always love him but we needed him to go and he did. With that said he has shown a few diamonds but we all know the bag of rocks are coming….

Recall the Canberra game in 2012 where we won something like 40-0 and Benji played his best ever game as a #7…very controlled and no mistakes....that's how he's playing for the Dragqueens..but a leopard never changes his spots.

I'll wait until I see him play a full strength Top 4 side before I make any judgements

He hadn't had a good game v a Top 4 side since the Manly game in 2011

A lot of water has crossed under the bridge

He has played well in his last few games , but he could do that for the Tigers v sub standard opposition
