It would be a positive move for a lot of different reasons.
This is not a "let's look forward, not backward' situation, it would benefit both for this year only, far out, we're in a fight for last, it's not to win the comp.
It would be good karma too, not that i believe in superstition.

Just finished watching our past and present Tigers carve up at the dolphins. Tyson Gamble is an absolute gun looking forward to seeing him in Tigers colours next year. Scored a hat trick today and look dangerous the whole game. Benji Marshall is absolutely utilising his time at the dolphins. His defence is on a whole other level and his attack in the second half was second to none, scoring a sweet try at the same time :wink: and as much of a flog lodge is boy does he hit that defensive line hard and fast. Also confirmed from benji the man himself, will be playing with the tigers from next week onwards hahahaha

What makes you think he'd only play in the halves? Didn't he play FB for their feeder team? He could also play centre or from the bench. And if JT doesn't come up Hunt and Milf are live chances particularly for the bench.
You may think he covers nobody but I doubt the Broncos feel the same.

Broncos have great depth , you wont see Benji playing centre or fullback.

I really think this is the best available option this year. He matured a lot at St. George with less miracle plays and more consistency. Apparently he was playing well before his injury. It would also be a feel good story to lift our sagging spirits. Benji could be given an opportunity to provide a final first grade hurrah in his glittering career, back at the club he loves. Most Tigers fans love Benji and it would be a good marketing move for the remainder of the season. I think we should try and make it happen. Nothing to lose….

Don't get me wrong - I'm not saying it's a reasonable or well thought out plan but I'm suggesting the primary reason he was purchased was for origin cover.

Yep I'd have Benji back for one last season, he knows how to play 5/8, last time he and Brooks played together they worked well .. give him another go .. !! Benji is playing in the Bronco's QRL 2nds, just returned from a broken hand, he's lost heaps of weight, looks super fit again.
However in saying that, I've looked at the Tyson Gamble highlights real, wow this kid can play. In the highlights video, he's playing with number 6 on his back, why not bring him in now and give him a crack and gain some NRL experience for next season.
