Benji - offseason surgery

Thumb and achilles problems.

Apparently dislocated the thumb approx 20 times this season.
Not sure if surgery is reqd for both probs, or just one…didnt specify.

Surely seeing to the thumb injury straight away would have been beneficial.

It has been obvious in his defence it has been in his mind

Not sure he'd be playing right now if he requires surgery on his achilles. I had tendonitis in mine a few years ago and it was pretty damn painful. Settled down with stretching and laying off the running for a few weeks.

Achilles If he has full blown surgery he will flat out lucky to be back for the start of 2013

Silly thing to say, he was easily our best on Sunday, if u were watching he talking heaps trying to fire them up, he had three try assists looked sharp!

Maybe if they start using their shoulders to make tackles instead of jersey grabbing , we might see less of these type of injuries

the modern way you "catch" the player so you can wrestle him with support to slow down the play the ball or some such thing…..

seems silly to me, but I Imagine the further away from playing I get the more things will seem strange to me.

I remember thinking how "out of touch" some guys were when they were giving feedback at the bar after games when I was playing, I imagine Im heading down that path myself.

Lucky you. I've had Achilles tendinitis for 30 years. Little sport for 10 years and it still gives me problems!

Easily the most ridiculous post in this thread. Benji isn't a sook and he isn't leading the comp in try assists because he isn't having a go.

Mate, Are you serious? Benji is not Overated, were you saying that last year when we made the top four? Defiantly not, Benji did not win the Golden Boot because he is overated. Sorry my first post had to be negative.
