Benji to Warriors Rumour - 2x meetings have taken place >_<

Supposedly this guy has been on the money in the past, gets the inside scoop from somewhere.
With strife at the club and Sheens on "shaky" grounds (as the media probably try to point out), we all know there's a clause in Marshall's contract to get out if Sheens does.
Hope this isn't the start of more 'divisions' at the club >_<

"I was told today that the Warriors have had 2 meeting with his manager Martin Tauber so far this year. No contract has been offered but there is another meeting planned in the week leading to the Anzac Test.

The Warriors are in a unique position of being able to make him the poster boy of RL in NZ. In Sydney he is a small fish in a big pond but in NZ he would be marketed to be bigger than what Dan Carter is today.

With the Salary Cap to be raised and 3rd party deals falling over themselves Benji would have his face on everything in NZ and potentially could make over 2 mill a year easily. A sticking point though would be his contract with channel 9 which wants to have him tied up for ever so he can pursue a media career when his footy days are over.

Tim Sheens is nearly on the outter at the Tigers and heaps of people have said Benji wont stick around once sheens goes and $$$ talks

I dont know what to make of this, this is a very reliable person who told me but a couple of things i dont get are, his cotract ends in 2013 so this is a loooong way off and could the Warriors be the team he wants to head to.

Watch this space i guess"

I thought he was signed till 2015\. And he isn't a small fish in Sydney.

It was much publicised during his last extension that the clause had been removed

Yep, so Marshall is signed through 2015 with no "iron clad" get out clause if Sheens leaves.

Throw some facts on this fire quick smart.

The Warriors are going to have a hard enough time retaining their incredible juniors, no way they could fit Marshall into their cap.

Pretty sure this get out clause does not exist anymore. 99% sure of this. It was brought up in the contact negotiations with Sheens going to Penrith. And Im pretty sure it is in his book.

He's more likely to play Super 15 then join the Warriors…
Besides I'm sure Martin Tauber has more than one client...

Hey guys, for the record, not tryin g to spread nasty rumours, just what was brought to my attention by a Wazzas fan today.
I thought it was BS too but needed the reassurance haha!
Benji is a Tiger for Life…surely.

Ok so if Sheens isn't the coach at the Tigers he will leave?

Umm unless he gets the warriors coaching job he will be playing under a new coach anyway

Strange logic…

who honestly cares? plenty of 5/8's that are good off contract next year

This Year:

Kieran Foran, Wade Graham, Justin Hunt, Ben Jones, Kris Keating, Michael Parker-Walshe, Michael Picker, Aidan Sezer, Ray Thompson, Carlos Tuimavave

Next Year:
Travis Burns, Todd Carney, Kieran Foran, Daniel Mortimer, Corey Norman, Ben Roberts, Harry Siejka, Jamie Soward, Ryan Stig, Gareth Widdop

And honestly i would preffer Carney

Besides this, the clause that he can leave when Sheens leaves has been removed:

Marshall no longer has a get-out clause in his contract that would allow him to leave the club if Sheens was to move on.

"I'm on contract for five years," Marshall added last night. "I'm going nowhere."
