Needs to take the line on more. I don't think he did it once today?

He takes a back seat a little too often for mine. He slows the play down running across field using his battering rams. He is obviously focusing on making smarter plays - but he greatest asset is running the ball.

I have noticed it the last month or two. But today it was particularly noticeable.

I thought he had a real good game. Yes I would prefer it if he ran the ball a little more but he played well.

Bother to read my last paragraph?

No need to try ride a moral high horse by making others feel guilty about making an observation.

For the record - I don't think I ever said he had a bad game? He just rarely runs anymore - I wonder if there is a reason.

I thought this was going to be about his kicking, which was a tad off today, he has been running a bit less of late, but in the past he has prob ran a little much…..

He's trying to find that balance between organisation and attack, but at times it has been detrimental to his running game. I think had Farah and Sirro played, he may have taken the line on a bit more.

Benji is a class act , and he is playing the number 7 very well.
He knows when to take the line on and when he does he usually gets the right result.
It was a tough day at the office for all the boys today,im proud to be a Tigers supporter.

I think it is as he said in an article during the week that he is trying to control the game a lot more than he has previously. This probably means that he will play a lot more conservatively and this possibly means he will take the line on less than before.

Its funny, in that last 20 minutes I thought he ran the ball more than he has been previously.

Probably because our backline showed signs of kickstarting itself Stryker

Benji was able to have confidence in the backs outside of him

yeah your spot on.
he drifts alot across field, which is expected in his role as a half, but he rarely attacks the line head on…
obviously the whole farah thing today was a factor, but its been the same for most of the year.

Yeah well all 6 of his outside men made more than 100 meters today. He was trying his best to get us home. The task was just out of reach though. In perfect circumstances i.e. if the game was played yesterday we would have seen a different result. I am not going to knock him or anyone else for todays effort.
