Everyone put down benji and his kicking game last year and didn't stop! however he has definitely shown this year that he could become one of the best goal kickers in the game! its funny how all those haters don't say anything now when he is kicking superbly! therefore i would just like to say GOOD JOB BENJI i always believed in you.

'haters'…..geeze thats a stupid saying.

Benji's kicking last year was pretty damned bad.

It does seem better this year so good on him.

Let's not forget either he has had a LOT more kicks this year close to the posts. Although I always thought his bad rap was a bit harsh given the % of kicks he had to take from the sideline.

A case in point is Soward. He seems to get a lot of raps for his kicking yet the Dragons score a lot of tries near the posts compared to some other teams.

Fully endorse those comments. What does he want us to do? Look the other way when he kicks 3/8?

He's changed his style again. Someone has realised he's got plenty of power and doesn't need to try to kick the skin off the ball. The run-up is gone, now he only takes a couple of steps before kicking and it seems to be all about accuracy.

So far it's a lot better…

My question about Benjis kicking if you were going to rate the No 1 kickers from each club in the NRL where would you rate Benji or more to the point who is he better than ?? My opinion he would be in the bottom 4

Simple, no Lawrence and no Lote. The trys we score our now a lot closer to the posts. The "go to men" have been the likes of dywer running inside lines rather than using power flankers out wide.

In saying that over the past few weeks his kicking is looking good

What about the confidence he showed in taking the kicks for NZ. Did he actually miss any (Didn't see the Majority of the Game)

Are their no other options for the Kiwis?

Just comparing goal kickers in NRL to Benji , If Benji better YES if worse than NO
Broncos Parker No
Bulldogs Goodwin No
Raiders Croker Even
Melbourne Smith No
Manly Dale Cheery Evans Yes
Souths Sandow No
Sharks Williams No (from what I have seen)
Roosters Anasta Yes
Cowboys Thurston No
Saints Soward No
Warriors Maloney No
Knights Gidley No
Titans Prince No
Eels Burt No
Panthers Gordon No

From that rating Benji is about 12-13th in NRL you would hope to be in top 8 goalkickers at least Give your opinions

Missed the last one when it was all over, nailed a sideline conversion under pressure. Not sure about their other options, obviously Isaac Luke when he plays would probably be 1st choice.

I think croker has a kicking percentage in the high 80's

If Benji can get to kicking consistently in the mid 70's i d be happy, the thing with benji, it is often 7/7 won week and 2/7 the next, he has massive form swings.

Croker seems to miss a lot of important kicks whereas Benji is as likely to kick the one to win you the game Thats why I went even there But going off percentages your right he is a better kicker and I would be happy with mid to high 70"s

Marshall kicked well last match.

For the Kiwis he missed one shot at goal when the game was over. He seemed to rush the kick
and did not give it much importance.

Would prefer someone else to take the kicks but if Marshall wants the job and added responsibility good on him.

Has improved out of sight, but would have to agree that the last kick he took against the aussies in the test match was pretty sh!thouse, really should have kicked it, but then again no different to nathan merritts attempted goals on friday night in the city v country game either.

with the test Benji didn't even seem interested in kicking the last one since the game was over.

And let's face it there's no F/A in Tests.

As for him kicking well atm, good on him!

However, it has only been for a brief period. Let's see how he goes in the long term before singing his praises in the goal-kicking department.

He hit the pressure kick for the kiwis when they were still sort of in the match. I told the Mrs 'he'll kick this one guaranteed'…. he always seems to get the pressure kicks. the pressure was off for his last kick which is one reason he may have missed it.

that miss ended a pretty good run of kicking for him, he kicked 3/3 vs Brisbane and 7/7 vs Canberra I think? and 100% in the test match up until that last miss.

definitely improvement.
