Benji's no look pass

to Moltzen…a pearler (when it comes off!) - what's your view on these sort of things, should there be more of it OR they remain a high risk play, best suited to when 40 in front with 5 minutes to go?

heh it's a hard call, they are fine in the middle of the field and beyond, not so good when on our line

What makes Benji who he is, is the willingness to try these types of play.

Thats why we need a half who controls the game so Marshal is free to play like this.

Change Benji - change the tigers.

wow…

Back on Benji's no look, didn't it look great! To be fair I doubt Moltzen would have had that much space to get through the line if he'd looked back in. Perfectly executed set play! Been missing it for months now tbh

A no look pass can open the defence. Defenders look at attackers eyes to see where they are looking to go. If your not looking, it would make the defence think is he ignoring that bloke.

It was a play Farah, Marshall and Moltzen used often in 2009 when Moltzen had his break-out season so to speak. The Tigers broke several teams open using this same play. It's one of the very few occasions where Moltzen supports the play around the ruck.

Few? It's the only time I have seen him support play around the ruck. Hence why this talk of his 'great' fullbacks game is bullocks…

Its pretty much apart of his game… I'd prefer the 'no-look' than the 'flick', but all these aspects are what make Benji an excitement machine. His Try last night clearly showed how much class he has, and throughout his whole career, he has had the 'touch footy' style about him.

2 or 3, but that should do it. If we play to a structure, we are more dangerous.

Great pass from Benji but did anyone notice when the tries were scored and all the boys were congratulating each other Benji was not part of it if thats the case it is a worry i hope i am wrong

these guys work on these plays all the time … benji knows where his runner is ,, it just looks more spectacular when it happens ....players do drill after drill after drill when they train ....these plays are the results from the drills ......

One of the basics of any ball sport is to look where you are passing the ball.Lincoln Withers tried to do it but it never came off fro him.

translator please
as usual nothing you say makes 1 ounce of sense

finally seen it, from my point of view, it didn't look to be anything special. You must have needed to see it in the context of the whole game.

its a beauty senexx but something we are used to seeing from benj….

I would say it's a risky pass if you aren't Benji. But you can see in the replay that he was never going to do anything else and already knew where Moltzen was going to run.
