Reckons Lima and Tuquiri are coming to the Tigers. 95% sure he said.

Giving it big time to News Lmtd and Melbourne. he calls it as he see's it!
 
I just sent them an email asking when we would hear about lote - benny said lote has enrolled his son into school at balmain and that he and his wife were very happy living in the area. He said that lote would be playing rugby league next year, he said 99% it would be for the mighty tiges.
 
enroling ur kid in school doesnt mean much.. IF he was to play here he would have to do it by end of this month to ensure he gets the kids in the school he wants.. u would find he would have another school overseas enrolled to just in case

On News Lmtd and Melb - he was straight to the point about the conflict of interest where News lmtd own over 50% of the game and Melbourne. He said News Lmtd employ all the officials of the game from refs to auditors. He finds it more than coincidence 'their team' (Melb) have been there 4 years in a row. The only reason players leave the Storm is not because of lack of money but because they can't stand the city.

He backed it up to say Bellamy deserves credit as do the players. Even with all the cash and the best facilities and every reason for good preperation, the team and coach still have to perform week in week out. Bellamy is the best coach in the game, better then Bennett and better than Sheens.

I cannot stand Souths and ever since he backed Souths to win the comp this year… It drove me nuts... he all too often cuts people off and his views are often so aggressive it dominates that of the callers or anyone else on the show...

His attitude towards benny concerning the 88 and 89 final annoyed me...

Perhaps hate is a strong word... but jeas he annoys me..
 
The positive of all of this is that we have identified the talent we want and are chasing hard for it.

Fair enough, I listen to him just about 6 days a week and I've found him to be the most fair minded talk back host. I think he generally allows everyone thier opinion even if he disagrees. A breash of fresh air compared to Hadley and not as mundane and slow paced as Warren Ryan and the ABC guys. I don't get Brandy and Gibbs up in QLD. On Souths - he and his family withdraw their life long membership to the Bulldogs and I think he has taken a liking to Souths these days as his brother is a recruitment officer for them (always a Bulldog though).

Cameron Smith is about to come on after benny has been giving it to Melbourne all arvo!!!!!

Lote has been living in Balmain, in the same house in Macquarie Terrace for many years, since at least 2003.
Rugby league or not, i doubt he's going to leave the suburb

No disrespect but this is a stupid comment. The notion thats News Limited, through their ownership in the game, could influence all those people is ridiculous and a simplistic view on life. It is also a horribly cynical view of human nature - to think all those people susceptible to such influence. Do you really think that the refs think about New Limited owning the game when they make a decision and connect that with their ownership of the Storm. You actually give people like Tony Archer too much credit. That guys isnt capable of connecting dots on a piece of paper.

Also said Sheens performance is reviewed by the board every month and theyre happy with what he delivers.
Caller said, "Youre happy being losers"
They said nothing.

Benny also said that the Wests Tigers club is in a horrible state when Sheens came on board and are far better now as a club then before.

Funny all those bad years are just swept away with no outside answers.

From what little I've gathered from the new CEO, things are definately different from the top down NOW!

Thats a different issue. Thats the price you pay to promote the game in Melbourne. Sydney Swans used to get very generous salary cap concessions to promote the game in NSW. It actually also helps us indirectly because having a Melbourne team means that the television rights are higher. No one is going to pay serious money to broadcast a game that only has teams in NSW and a couple in QLD.

There are good policy reasons for such an advantage.

Do you mean that channel 9 pay extra to have the tv rights because Melbourne are in the comp, but then they don't bother to show the game live there?
