You cannot compare potter to Taylor IMO.

JT had full support of the board. Almost entire spine played almost every game together, no massive injury toll. Not to mention, each of these youngsters are a year older.

This year was quite a failure and not just due to ladder position. We've underachieved.

With no centres and no back row.

Not defending JT, but why does everyone that rag's on him say 'we've had no massive injury toll' without crediting JT for the new S&C team? Sigh; I suppose the haters gunna hate hate hate… sing it Taylor!

Because Potter didn't have the luxury to select his own S&C team.

For the Potter lovers; sure. But its got nothing to do with the price of carbonated water in Fyshwick. My point was people thinking that the injury-reduced season is an act of pure luck/will of the gods, when its not. No doubt Potter may have got the blunt end of the stick but nothing to do with my post.

Let me break it down for you:

You said that JT deserves some wraps for the selection and employment of a new and effective S&C team which has reduced our injury toll this season.

Milky is saying that Potter never had the luxury of employing his own S&C team which may have been just as effective. Instead he had to operate under someone else's budget S&C protocols resulting in the countless injuries that JT has had the luxury of avoiding.

Hence you can't use employment of the S&C team in reducing our injury toll when comparing Potter and JT's time at our club. Had Potter been given power to employ his own staff, he may have avoided a horrendous injury toll during his tenure and 'may' well have guided us to the promised land. Unlike JT who was actually given that luxury and still failed..

If the thread was entitled 'Why Potter would have had a longer tenure at WT' then, again, yes I agree with the 3 repeating paragraphs. My point, again, has nothing nothing to do with comparing coaches. If 'if's and but's' were candy and nuts we'd all be fatty fat fats.

Imagine we beat the bulldogs after leading 24-6
Imagine we beat the raiders after leading 22-0
Imagine we beat the knights after leading 16-0

Imagine the difference that 6 points could have made to our season

Woulda coulda shoulda

Yes imagine we had a senior experienced leader who could have directed his side to victory in these circumstances. Oh hang on we did and his name is Robbie Farah and he didn't

Yeah….Farah, who was told to take a back seat, not run it and feed the halves.

The best running rake in the comp not to run it.

Freaking madness.
