Didn't say it was unlucky its what you say to a person or team to build confidence. It's called good man management or even, kind.

I'm not surprised this is missed by many on here.

HAhaha now that is funny!!!!!

Maybe they should all sit in a circle at Concord, cross legged, hold hands and cry…just have a good cleansing cry. Let each other know that they are feeling bad and what they hope can happen to mend their broken psychies. Maybe they can put a rinse through each others hair and then take the arvo off to fly kites whilst listening to Justin Bieber.....

You metros make me sick.

Hahahaha love it!!!!!!!!!!

The scoreline momentum may have not changed , but the games momentum had

With our side Bell needs to be a starter ,has experience , does the little things right ,good defensively and hits it up with gusto

Bring the Anasta's,BMM's,Pettybourne's and Thompson's off the bench for impact

As I said if you can't set a platform or even keep the game at a even keel , it doesn't matter who is on the bench

I just don't see what you see in Bell. He has never impressed me. On Monday he had a shocker.

But how could anyone on the bench look good on Monday Delpy ,the momentum was firmly with Newcastle and things just went from bad to worse about the time he and BMM came on

Bell (in our side ) is better suited as a starter in my opinion , he will give us a solid base , he's not an impact player like BMM,Pettybourne or Thompson can be and for these blokes to have an impact we need to be at least in the game not trying to chase points and steal a heavily weighted momentum from a bigger more skilful forward pack

And in most games we will play this year, we will have the same issues .We will be the smaller ,less effective, 'less mobile and defesively deficient side v virtually every other side and we need to find a way to counter that
We just can't operate that way or we will get our butts handed to us almost every week

Could you elaborate on the solid base that he provides? Perhaps I am missing something. He doesn't really strike me as much of a first-grader.

If I had a couple of decent props coming through, I would consider starting Woods in the second row with Fulton. Have a 3 pronged attack to start, sub Galloway with Pettybourne, Buchnanen with Thompson and Woods with Bell. Use four forwards on the bench. Provided you didn't loose too much ground when we started changing at the 15-20 mark. What are your thoughts? Don't be too critical.

Too few players making too many tackles. The reason Melbourne's defence is so solid is because they spread the workload. Get BMM on the treadmill and turn him into a ball-playing, tackling machine. Whatever's wrong with Anasta - fix that too.

sorry guys but Bell is rubbish he is too slow to close gaps and cant get over the advantage line….
I really hope potter is prepared to make the tough decision's because i dont have the same confidence in players he has by naming them all again...
hopefully moltzen, reddy, utai, bell, miller, anasta, BMM , benji, ashford and lawerence have been told their performances over the last 12months are not up to first grade standard....

Sorry, shoosh, but I just hate how people keep moving props to backrow and backrow to prop all the time. It's not something that I like doing all the time, just like how i dont like moving people from wing to fb to centre. When it has to be done, no worries but shifting buchanan and woodsy to back row. Can't handle it. They've both trained hard to be props AND ARE GOOD AT IT so there is no reason to shift them out. buchanan to bench is okay, but he'd probably still come and replace 8 or 10.

I dunno, maybe it can work well but it always just bothers me.

edit: people on the forum that is.

Bell had a shocker on Monday.

Last year he was very solid; in fact surprisingly so. He came to us with a reputation of being a good defender and not much else - but he took the ball forward with vigour and even threatened to score on a couple of occasions. I think he needs to be in the starting pack (and told that it is not his job to throw speculators to distant centres).

As i said I don't think Bell it suited to playing off the bench

His best games last season were starting at lock imo when we had the winning streak

Did anyone see the Footy Show last night? They had a segment where several players mentioned what part of their body they would like to change. Moltzen said his hands! Well at least he knows…

What's wrong with his hands on the field? His heart maybe, his defence definitely. But his hands are okay, no?
