Taupau and Gavet couldn't get ahead of Halatau on the Dogs bench and Des Hasler is not a dumb coach. I think people are underrating what Halatau has to offer but I'm also kind of glad that he won't be around til mid season because I really think Marty and James can make inroads in first grade for us.

Certainly forwards depth that I don't remember us having. I just hope Potter isn't afraid to drop underperformers this year. With Sironen and Halatau out until mid season I'd like to see Gavet and Brown get first crack tbh.

Some interesting teams being listed so far all with plenty of potential. One person I wouldn't leave out of the starting line-up is Fulton. Especially while our defence is still shakey. Surprised to see a few leave him out but I understand the idea of going for more size/aggression. Has to be a balance somewhere though.

I would respectfully disagree with this. I dont think he is undervalued, I think he's completely overated by some people on here.

Dont get me wrong, I love & respect liam, and thank him for his contribution to the team.
I think he has a massive heart, and iuf genetics had blessed him with a bigger frame, and the ability to carry more muscle, he could have been truly great.

But anyone that thinks he is really a great defender is kidding themselves.

He's a busy defender, he tries hard, he makes alot of tackles - but a lot of 2nd and 3rd man tackles too.

What he is though unfortunately is a very poor defender against bigger men. Gets run over the top of quite a bit. Last year for anyone paying close attention, he missed some absolute clangers (not that he was alone in that.) and just isn't capable of delivering any sting.

As I stated above, all the time in the world for his massive heart, but at this stage of his career, there isn't a spot for him in my 17, and I think signing him for three years at his age, and the evolutio of the modern game was a mistake.

I dont think he'll finish the year in first grade unless through injury.
