Best Prospect? Fifita vs Groat vs BMM vs Woods

I chose Woods on recent form, but if you take Fifita out (based on HIS current form) any of the remaining four could turn out to be the best.

Woods was great on Friday night, another year of first grade and look out!

In saying that I reckon Groat and Begovich are also well and truly on their way.

I think Fafita has the most potential but he also has a touch of the Daine Lauries so not sad to see him go, you cant keep them all and Woods and Begovich offer more for me.

Woods will play for Australia in the next 5 years as he is the most likely to continue on as a domestic prop.

Hopefully a change of scenery for Fifita might see him work harder off the field, but the Shire is pretty well known for the boys being boys???

Groat is big and mobile, but its just too early to make a call on him.

I feel Begovich should be ahead of Groat as he has a better all round game and offers more, but knowing Sheens, possibly Begovich doesnt have as good a junior resume as Groat?

BMM? We'll be lucky to keep him!!!

Great thread!

Living in the US I'm limited to make a good call on this but from what I've seen, Woods will be something special.

I agree with all this.

For mine it would be Woods. Woods will play rep footy at the highest level. They all have a lot of talent.

I think that BMM, Begovich and Groat will play a lot of rep footy as well. Keeping the 4 will be hard but if we do we will end up with as good a pack as Balmain had in the mid to late 80's, that pack was built on a group of young forwards sticking with the club.

Woods at this stage for mine. Really good work ethic, good head on his shoulders and looks to have the dedication to succeed. Haven't seen enough of BMM and Groat just yet and they both need full off-seasons with the top squad to give an idea of how they may kick on next season.

Fifita has plenty of potential, but doing the hard yards may be his issue at present. I will be interested to see how he goes at the Sharks next season.

I said Woodsy. I thought he was going to be a revelation this year and as such has stepped up to the plate, handling the rigours of FG fairly well despite going through a little rough patch. Still has a little way to go in terms of maturing in FG (refer to the Rose/Ballin try on Friday night.)

BMM and Groat could be anything. Groat is a unit and has alot to offer. Conceded two penalties in two sets on Friday night against Manly I chalk that up to youthful exuberance rather than idiocy. I must say I've been disappointed not to see BMM this year but he has missed the first part of the season through injury and Sheens must be using him sparingly until he gets a full off-season under the belt (injury free hopefully.)

BMM has had a wretched year with injury. He didn't have a pre-season as he was recovering from shoulder surgery and he has not had the opportunity to get stuck into the weights as a result. Both he and Groat should really improve with proper off-seasons with the top squad. We saw Fifita trim down and improve his fitness noticeably from last year and i see no reason why BMM and Groat won't trim a few kilos off them and improve their strength and endurance for next season.

BMM should really be looking to press his claims as Dwyer won't be playing next season unfortunately.

Groat looks like a freak! He's got size, strength and tackles like a machine! IMO he's my 1st pick… Woods seems to kill any roll on the tigers develop with silly penalties and constant drop ball..

How does Junior Roqica go?
He looks like one BIG man, and didn't he train with the 1st grade squad 2010 preseason?
