Best Wests Tigers Balmain & Wests Win Ever

For me, the most memorable win was against the bulldogs at parramatta stadium when we were missing sironen, jack, elias and pearce and won 30-0 back in 1988\. Anybody else go to this game??? The game on sunday against the warriors probably was the best i have seen for the wests tigers and the worst one was against the panthers in 2000 when wayne pearce was coach at penrith park.

I was there that night - it was an awesome victory for sure! I think Lawrence played five eighth that night, if I'm not mistaken, and he was pretty darn good too.

Balmain's 1969 Grand Final win must be up there and anytime Wests beat Manly was a best win ever :laughing:

Most people gave us no chance with the injuries we had and after a hard game that went into extra-time against the Roosters the week before and having to play an inform Canberra team on a cold Canberra night. For some reason I was confident all week.

Wests Tigers smashed Souths at ANZ - 2009???

1996??? - Wests Magpies Vs North Sydney Bears at Campbelltown Stadium. Andrew Willis kicks a field goal from the half-way line in the last minute of play which gives Wests a 1 point victory, and thousands of crazy Wests fans knocking over the fence and running onto the field.

way too many games to mention but if we gonna name a couple 2005 grand final and 1969 grand final nothing like winning a final

Mate - no such game occurred in 88!!!!!

Balmain did play a trial against them at Parra before the 89 season kick-off where we beat them well - but that was the game when Jimmy Jack broke his arm in - so it is more a bitter memory than a sweet one.

The game that you seem to be referring to was in 86 & it was 28-0 with our current CEO at fullback & the likes of the two Mikes (Marketo & Perry) taking the place of Sirro & Blocker!!

PS - Elias did play that day - but Block, Sirro, Junior & Jimmy were all gone!!

Alien you legend.I was at that game wests vs norths.Ill never forget I was one of those guys who jumped over the fence and went crazy when we won.I never forget as paul langmack was getting interviewed by john gibbs i slapped langers on the back grabbed the mic and screamed up the maggies.To this day it sends shivers up my spine thinking of it.

I was at that 96 norths game, I will never forget it! I was only 9 so I didn't run on the field. I only remember the last few seconds though.

Just remember going straight there from school, getting a spot on the hill, the way we played that night and "Shook me all night long" playing as we left the ground….Yeah, that was pretty special for me.

Wasn't the game Jack broke his arm in against the Dogs? Some GF replay thing sponsored by a car company? I want to say Alfa Romeo Cup but that's a guess. I remember Warren Ryan cracking the Brad Pitts about Jack getting injured but that was nothing out of the ordinary!

Parra use to carve us up for most of the 80s. Manly too…
