What do the Tigers lack at the moment? Yep, several things, but the main commodity missing is speed and French has a lot of it. It's impossible to know what's really going on at Parra. We hear that there's a problem with the culture over there and we can't be surprised with prima donnas like Hayne and Moses or party boys like Norman in their camp… The point is, is that French's lack of form is probably a symptom of the Eels woeful lack of cohesion. He is a talent and, if harnessed properly by Cleary, could become a game breaker for us. At the right price, I would snap him up.

He is quick but his knee may be an issue.

Not right yet? Gives us more of a discount….

Think Jordan Kahu.

Yep and he got fit only to have his jaw smashed….

A lot of Sooking going on at Parra !
Who would've thought 😱pen_mouth:

:roll

Trust me its not sooking its the coach.

He is off.

Last year the coach was the saviour, Mitch couldn't get over there quick enough to play under a coach who's team will play finals footy every year.

Yeah makes you wonder what could've possibly happened in the off season. Parra were going great guns at the end of last season, made top 4, didn't lose anyone of note over that period, so basically the same team and coach, and looked set to have a good 2018\. Now they all hate each other and have flopped dramatically this season - weird.

Cowboys have flopped dramatically also, but for different reasons. They at least still like each other, just can't crack good form.

Mbye is a better FB than French.

Wouldn't worry me if we missed either.

If you just want speed - buy a greyhound.

He has more than just speed. He has excellent footwork and I saw a miraculous kick and chase on a least one occasion. Look at what Ado Carr has added to the Storm.

French is about 1/10 of the footballer JAC is.

No way in the world. Can't tackle and hardly a game breaker at fullback. Good for depth only and nothing more.

If we buy French I will personally hunt down Egan and Pascoe

Not even if he came as a package deal with Pascoe by some twist of fate should we be interested

I'm :imp: his name even came up , seriously , please , not even remotely funny :crazy

It's a good question isn't it. Semi trailer/Radradua had a HUGE difference.
I think that guy scored a try a game at one stage. But teams playing Parra started to get onto him and defend heavily on his wing. Jarred Hayne should be having a similiarish impact, if not in scoring the tries in at least making the defense watch him.

Otherwise it's the same team. What's happened?

I have wondered if Mitch is tanking the team. Honestly his playing went from excellent to crap. No idea why he is halfback and Norman is 5/8\. For those not rating Brad Arthur, considering the crap that guy has had to put up with he deserves a medal. Maybe not a super-coach, clearly involved with making Manly as hard as they were a fair few years ago.

Unless Moses and his uncle are playing silly. Which they may be. Something has clearly happened. Sure their front row is a year older, and Beau Scott should go to the glue factory. But most of their forwards should be able to go forward like they used too.

Honestly Parra probably are just tired. They made the quarter finals with a lot of energy and they have lost that. That can be a very hard thing to recover from.

There was talk that brad Arthur over bulked the pack over the off season. With that extra bulk they lost the aggressive mobility that they had.

I am not saying that Bevan is as good as JAC. You're missing the point. I'm saying that with good coaching and a team with cohesion, Bevan could develop into an excellent first grader, whether it be on the wing or fullback. We don't have any outside backs who can run the length. I'm also NOT saying that he would be a marquee signing, only that he could add some valuable strike power at low cost. I don't get the hate for him. So what if he said he'd like to play fullback, so did Johnson at Souths. As I mentioned before, he probably wants to get away from the egotism of Hayne, Moses, Norman, etc….

no way he is a light weigh, we need a more solid type fullback.

Exactly what I think of him, Ive never seen him live, but he seems to be small.
Nothing wrong with small FBs but I'd, much rather one who has some power behind have and not just speed alone.
