Don't sweat it Milky. Let's be honest, as others have already mentioned, on a personal level Barba doesn't fit the mould of the club and the direction Cleary is taking us in. It also contradicts Lolohea training at fullback all offseason while Reynolds and Brooks plus Benji are going to be fighting it out in the halves.

We have some cash up our sleeves, and if the club is smart they prioritise a couple of positions where we still may be lacking:

1) A world class forward, preferably a backrower
2) Fullback - ala RTS given Tui is a bit of an unknown
3) Halfback if Brooks fails to deliver this year

It may not necessarily be in that order, but it makes more sense than Barba.

Nothing that will be announced as early as he’s saying. Early talks with RTS very positive. We don’t need to sign a 29th player before March 1 as we still have a very small portion of Curtis Sironens contract for this year in our books so that can count as our player for the time being.

Well given the POM was at Canterbury with the team and Pascoe this evening his story about just speaking to Pascoe checks out. As to whether Pascoe would tell the POM or tell Smoking Gun whoever he is the truth I would hope not as even if we were negotiating it should be kept private.
