Bj Leilua To Tigers ??

Isn't he too young to fit our current recruitment policy (i.e players at the end of his career).

40 NRL games 14 tries. 20 years old

Prefer to have him over Ashyford at the moment.

IMO we need a quality prop and a quick centre for next year.

I struggle to see how he keeps his spot in the Roosters Squad… He just has never impressed me. They have some great talent in the backs waiting in the wings, but this guy always gets picked?

Maybe Smithy likes his mum too...

Maybe we could get Matthew Johns to ask him…

I would be interested to see how he goes under Tim Sheens though. We all know Sheens's track record with development and the guy is still young enough to develop some more. No doubts though that we do need to think of the future still. Lote and Utai are not long term figures in the squad and although we do have some good under 20's, well BJ is playing first grade now, so he's a step ahead.

He is historically a backrower who got thrown into the outside backs I believe. Always much easier said than done - he is a strong kid who definitely has a future in the forwards.

"backrower thrown into outside backs" that's the opposite to what happens here.

has hands like feet, but finally if we sign a guy about to start his carerr rather then a guy whos washed up and looking for a club I am all for it

If he can hold onto the ball can be anything

The roosters fans are saying they are getting Ayshford back so this would be a swap.

if true:

Although i do think its rubbish - Ayshford is contracted to us until end 2015!

Think we would need Braith Anasta as part of that deal, and even then I wouldn't necessarily trade Ayshford for Anasta due to the fact that Ayshords career is building well despite some average games this year, where Anastas is starting to dim.

forget under20s…we made the GF a few years ago and that group were flicked by Sheens..

When Ellis goes, Will Ayshford move one place inwards to right backrower and hit the fringes ala Simon Dwyer?

Maybe BJ will replace Ayshford at right centre?

I reckon if we get him, put him on the other wing with Beau Ryan.

I'd rather debut David Nofoaluma than buy Leilua.
