Definately showing better signs. I don't think we really know what to expect from him. I don't think he has a massive work-rate though I don't think he is the massive damaging type either.

This is a great point. I actually think he will end up a lot closer to a Todd Payten type player than Tony Williams or Nathan Hindmarsh.

I know I'm harping on this…and I'm sorry upfront for raising this again....but Adam Blair last night showed **nothing...zilch**....and he was in the Kiwi test team...is he still adjusting to playing for the Kiwi's now?..

Let's be honest...we paid overs for him....im my view about $300K per season over!....and if it weren't for that fact I wouldn't be whinging as much as I have been....but if you are the top 3 highest paid person in the club, the fans and the other players expect more...much more than we've seen from this average footballer this year...to those who say give him time....all that will achieve is for the subject matter and whinging to settle down..Blair will **NOT** improve as a footballer...Put it this way..who would you prefer Taraq Sims or Adam Blair as a second rower?..What would Taraq be on?...around $200k for sure...but compared to Adam Blairs performance and salary he should be on $700k...another example is Luke Lewis...Sam Thaiday.....Paul Gallen...Frank Pritchard.....all these guys are on much less coin than Blair....but given the choice I know who I'd rather have....

His not going to get any better because his not better. His never been a standout I can't remember him ever being the best player for the Kiwis or Melbourne, why Recruitment would offer him so much money is beyond me.

:smiley: Shows some massive balls to come out and admit he's been under performing but really he shouldn't have to justify himself to any of the couch potato/grandstand coaches! He will come good, as will the team, some people are too quick to jump the gun, throw in the towel and sledge relentlessly. What ever happened to supporting your team no matter what? Wearing your colours win or lose? You cant win every game every season without a strong foundation to build upon! We have got plenty of premiership talent and we will get there, Blair will get there, and when he does everyone will be kissing his a#$!!

here is hoping…despite our poor form I have not tipped against us this year!....that's supporting your team no matter what..but we do have a right to voice our opinions and be critical of high paid players who are not pulling their weight....and that is the crux of the matter. I'm glad Blair agrees with the criticism levelled at him, what else can he say...but he NEEDS to show more on the field(for us and the Kiwi's)...and if what he's dished up is his best, unless he is carrying injury, it's just not good enough.

He will prove people wrong,he is trying to adjust to Sheen's style,hell we have players who have been here years and still can't master it,can't bag Blair after 7 games,and 2 tries,I am a fan of him,he never gets dominated and always dominates in his tackles.

exact same thing i said when ellis started. i dont get it? as a back (fullback), i was always itching at the chance to latch on to an offload?! it was my job to back up in this very situation!!! 9 times out of 10 i would just run through, but man, there was no better feeling than receiving a great offload and getting into open space.

i played with some good forwards (one in particular who i will always remember could have dropped over the line and scored himself, yet offloaded to me and i ran it under the posts untouched - incredibly unselfish player) and yet i always seem to see these opportunities in tigers games and there is no one there?! heighno used to be like this as well, but i think maybe he has given up…he just seems to turn his back and take the tackle these days.

man, **this is moltzens job**: forwards like ellis and blair always get the ball free ready for a great break but always seem to just go down in the tackle cos no one is there?!

im going to suggest chris lawrence come in and do some backing up.
im always open to criticism on my views, so please correct me, but in my view he is an amazing line break player who would run it to the line almost every time if he came inside for these ops because moltzen is not doing it. i know he has to be out in the centres, and this would probably wreck the next play, but frankly i dont think benji is giving him the ball he should be.

i just dont think marshall is giving the backs good enough opportunities and (admittedly, lawrence is my favourite player) but i really think we have one of the best centres around being grossly under utilitsed.

Hugely dissapointed. I can accept he's on a learning curve, but all I want to see him do is tackle with his shoulder.

I've never seen such a lazy (or maybe its poor technique) defender. I have watched him very closely and I honestly haven't seen him use his shoulder in defence even once. He's all shoulder bumps (wouldn't ven call them a shoulder charge) and arm and jumper grabbing. In defence all he is showing is some wrestle (suprise, suprise).

I challenge anyone to show me him doing it. Until I see him doing I dont think he's earning even a 1/4 of his pay.
