I just want to see some players ready to follow up Blair when he gets his hands free If I was Sheens I would be telling Farah or Humble to he hanging around Blair like a bad smell everytime he hits it up
I am just amazed how often he has his hands free and no one to pass it to . If you don't believe me , watch how many times he gets his hands free v Parra
The Broncos game I counted 4 times he could of off loaded .
exact same thing i said when ellis started. i dont get it? as a back (fullback), i was always itching at the chance to latch on to an offload?! it was my job to back up in this very situation!!! 9 times out of 10 i would just run through, but man, there was no better feeling than receiving a great offload and getting into open space.
i played with some good forwards (one in particular who i will always remember could have dropped over the line and scored himself, yet offloaded to me and i ran it under the posts untouched - incredibly unselfish player) and yet i always seem to see these opportunities in tigers games and there is no one there?! heighno used to be like this as well, but i think maybe he has given up…he just seems to turn his back and take the tackle these days.
man, **this is moltzens job**: forwards like ellis and blair always get the ball free ready for a great break but always seem to just go down in the tackle cos no one is there?!
im going to suggest chris lawrence come in and do some backing up.
im always open to criticism on my views, so please correct me, but in my view he is an amazing line break player who would run it to the line almost every time if he came inside for these ops because moltzen is not doing it. i know he has to be out in the centres, and this would probably wreck the next play, but frankly i dont think benji is giving him the ball he should be.
i just dont think marshall is giving the backs good enough opportunities and (admittedly, lawrence is my favourite player) but i really think we have one of the best centres around being grossly under utilitsed.
