Blair Being Shopped Around

We can shop him around all that we want but no one in their right mind would think twice about him. We are stuck with him for a couple more years yet

They said it best on the Sunday roast about Blair, worst buy of the decade now who is stupid enough to repeat the feat ???? IMO the recruiting staff should be shown the door along with him.

i would drop him to the bench, and if he still doesnt lift, then to state cup, then try to sell him.

benji is getting another go under potter, he should too imo.

Yea Sticky, He is a superstar.

Ladder Standings Pre-Blair:

2010- 3rd
2011- 4th

Ladder Standings Post-Blair:

2012- 10th
2013- 16th

Coincidence?

I think the coincidence is Simmons In England in 2010 and 2011 back and our defence is terrible

Seriously I would consider doing a Sheens and just sack him but still pay him if I had to. It's not just the money but its the team balance, culture, harmony and ultimately performance.

To get that back, 500k sounds cheap to me….

Yay

please some one take him of our hands, if we cant get rid of him then let him rot in sate cup for the rest of his contract and watch his career die after that

and to think he had a hand shake deal with the dogs before he renegged and came to us, he would go well at the dogs, he is one

He showed nothing last year and nothing this year.
Moltz redeemed himself this year with Potter as an average NRL player but if you haven't proved yourself by now and haven't even showed potential EVER at the club I think its time to say goodbye. Enough chances. If you can't be motivated as a player on big money at a struggling club with one of the most aggressive back rowers in the world calling you lazy, you just aren't cutting it.

NSW Cup Indefinitely. He should be allowed back when he makes minimum 3 consecutive games of 0 missed tackles, 0 errors in defense and minimum 15 hit ups for 150m. That's what should be the expectation for a marque player at first grade level let alone Reserve Grade.

When he returns give him a goal of hit ups to stay in the squad. Every missed tackle is an extra hour of tackle bags after training or something.
Surely can't be that difficult to get a Forward to play their basic role in the team.

all the dropping, benching etc should've been done last year when we had ellis, heighno and fulton in our pack

we cant drop him now, he is one of the only players in the pack with over a 100 games.. idc what he does on the field, we need that.

make him hurt where it hurts the most like it did with benji.. his ego. bench him

How is he still in the 17!? The bloke is a turnstile in defence. He missed 2 tackles which lead directly to tries against souths.

Put Luani in. He's best at hooker but he's been starting lock in NSW cup this year and is always reliable in defence. He tackles everything that moves and doesn't miss many. He put the biggest Burgess brother on his arse against Norths. Most of all he has heart, something Blair's overpaid arse lacks.

There is a poll on the courier mail website about Blair all go and have a look lol I voted yes!!

**Is Wests Tigers' Adam Blair the NRL's worst signing ever?**
>
NOT since a washed-up old Balmain front-rower picked up $725,000 at the height of the Super League war have we seen a more overpaid player in rugby league.
>
The terrible form of $500,000-a-year Wests Tigers forward Adam Blair brings back memories of the infamous Steve Edmed deal back in 1995.
>
The Balmain prop was paid $725,000 from John Ribot's Super League chequebook for what turned out to be just one year at the North Queensland Cowboys.
>
Blair's form - or lack of it - has been one of the game's biggest NRL talking points in recent weeks.
>
His 2013 statistics are shocking - just one linebreak and 24 missed tackles in 10 games.
>
The linebreak was against the Knights in round one - and he hasn't made one in the nine matches since.
>
The stats from the South Sydney game - a 54-10 humiliation last Friday night - are even more embarrassing. Six missed tackles, zero tackle busts, zero linebreaks and four runs for just 34m in 72 minutes.
>
One missed tackle was a hopeless, half-hearted effort on a player half his size, Souths halfback Adam Reynolds.
>
The Tigers are in a training camp in Kiama this week.
>
The Kiwi forward is not keen on discussing his issues. "Tell them I'm not interested," was his message that came back via the club's media man, Wayne Cousins.
>
His form has been so bad there has been speculation the Tigers want to offload him to a rival club, even if it means paying part of his contract.
>
They are already paying for three other former players at other clubs as part of this year's cap.
>
Blair's form hasn't been the same since he left the Storm as one of the most feared forwards in the premiership.
>
His sideline altercation with Manly second-rower Glenn Stewart was an indication of the ferocity and aggressiveness of his old game. Maybe that incident and the suspension has slowed him up.
>
Front-row legend Steve "Blocker" Roach refused to be overly critical of the Kiwi forward.
>
"How many players leave Melbourne Storm and struggle? It happens a bit," he said. "I originally thought he'd be a great signing and I was that excited when it first happened.
>
"You look at the other night's game and everyone's defence was unacceptable. Not just Adam Blair. It was terrible everywhere.
>
"Defence is attitude. You've got to want to tackle."
>
In fairness to Blair, he does not have a lot of support or go-forward beside him in the Tigers' pack. He quit Storm to play alongside Bryce Gibbs, Andrew Fifita, Gareth Ellis and Chris Heighington but all four have since left the club.
>
The Daily Telegraph can reveal that apart from paying ridiculous money for Blair, the Tigers' salary cap is an absolute mess.
>
They are still paying for Gibbs, Heighington and Ellis from their previous deals, which is hurting new coach Mick Potter as much as the injury crisis.
>

How are we still paying Ellis?

Well if we are Hybrid ,reports that Gareth left of his own will are complete BS

The only way we would be paying his final year would be because he was pushed out

The only other explanation would be possibly some backending of his 2012 contract

If this is true ,it shows the difference between us and many other clubs and why we have the issues we have

If that's the case, that's a disgrace.

We did him a favour and allowed him to return to England a year early….I don't see how we should be paying a cent.

Yeah, but he deserves a bit back after the effort he put in for us,as Sheens said, he was our best forward which put Robbies nose out of joint for a while. The Forward pack has gone backwards since Payten retired and Ellis left and i don't think much is going to change in the short term when you compare them to the other Teams in the comp.,Souths,Easts,Cowgirls,Manly, Saints, etc. Its going to be a long season and moving deckchairs around or changing the Coach isn't going to make any difference,we need new cattle and a new attitude IMO.
