Ok..you dont like what I say …BUT,.. I hope Blair is more involved next year. I watched Melbourne again, and again, Manu and Proctor are so more involved. And if its your old arguement , he is waiting for next year, I hope he likes it here cause we have got him for ..four years.

Blair will be good for us,I don't get why you are whinging,he will excell with our style of play.

Still don't thin he will be at $500,000 in the salary cap. Watched him closely a lot of this season and his defence is solid, also slows down the play the ball very well. The game against us at Leichhardt when he knocked the ball from Fifita went a long way to them winning the game. He does a lot of little things very well. A back row of him, Ellis and Heighintion will be great next year, especially as we will also have Fulton and some promising youngsters as depth.

Can someone make this thread a sticky? So I can come back here and laugh about halfway through next season.

Adam Blair is a class player. One of the best forwards in the comp, the vice-captain of NZ. Has won a premiership, played in three grand finals, won the tri-nations. He is a leader and will be great for us, just like Ellis is.

100% spot on Hybrid Run it as a sticky
Watch him during the semis Actually even better.
Watch him rise to the challenge this weekend against the Red V
A few people are going to be wiping egg off their faces next season

Its not just about the player it is a combination of player and system.

Blaairs flair and talent with the ball make him a good fit for our system. Add to that some savage defence and what the signing brings to our overall roster and he has all the makings of being a great signing

Geez the negativity around here is endemic.

Blair is a great player.

This reminds me of the old days when a number of people here carried on about Paul Whatuira when we signed him, Scott Prince - I'm sure there were some people who wanted him to break a leg just to be right, what about Mitch Brown and the pasting he got before he ever pulled on a Tigers jersey?

Let's just let Adam get here and show us what he can do in OUR team before we moan and carry on.

Also everyone's always saying we are paying Blair $500,000 - we as fans don't know this detail, that was just a journalists best guess in a newspaper!

why do you care what he's doing this yr? i would have thought with a comp up for grabs, that would be more important rather then bitching about something thats happening next yr.Why don't you try and focus on this yr first

Don't we already have three or four posts on this exact same topic?

My personal view is that Blair will make an excellent addition to our forward pack next year. But as he's already signed, there's not much point debating whether he will or won't in the contract discussion forum…

Blair is a dynamite forward.
He has skills and size

Next year we could very welll have the best pack in the comp

playing a very different role this year at the storm then previous years. he is playing in the middle third, whilst manu is on the left and proctor on the right. he isnt doing the 'flashy' noticeable stuff that he had in previous years. im pretty sure heighno will play that role for us next year and blair will play wide on the right

His a world class player im counting down the day untill he joins us for pre season 😀

Geez mate theres still lots of twists and turns yet with this season - top teams getting the woblies left right and centre while were heading in the right direction.

Yep, he rarely dies with the ball, promotes and offloads often…

Blair is a gun player, we're lucky to have him join us.
He'll add so much more impact and it'll refresh our squad, I believe.
He's in the top 5 forwards in the comp, liggity lezgo!

I understand that people think we may have paid overs for him (and perhaps we have), but he is an outstanding player

Well said. Craig bellamy wouldnt pick him if he was some nuffie, and he woulldnt be NZ VC if he wasnt a great leader or better that a great player, he wouldnt be in the squad if he wasnt 'world Class' because these days NZ have a strong squad
