Blair coup not bloodless as Tigers stalwarts consider futures

That's your opinion and you're entitled to it. For me, he picks his moments. He chimes in when he sees a hole or a weak defender. He doesn't run hard ever. He has skills. The ability to stand and offload is one, he is hard to wrestle to the ground, he's a decent enough defender. But he is a massive dude and he doesn't play like one. He also strikes me as complacent. Something we can ill afford at WT.

I am more concerned at how players perform under Bellamy and then move on only to not perform to the same level. Take Inglis for example. I am happy for us to pay the $400K, however the next question his whether he can maintain that high level performance once he is on the big bucks.

look at Toleman…

Yeah I can't think of too many players that have left Melbourne worse players tbh. The fact that the Storm turn nuffies into good players doesn't mean that when good players leave they turn into worse players.

Inglis, Turner, Folau, Crocker, Tagatese, Kaufusi. Don't think any of them have performed to the same level. Croker can be blamed on injury. I am sure some may disagree, and it may not be Bellamy's coaching necessarily, it could be not having the Smiths and Slaters around them.

Folau was awesome at Brisbane, Crocker has been injured 90% of the time and suspended the other 10%, Tagatese has actually improved at GC imo, Kaufusi I agree with, Inglis hasn't really had time and has had off field concerns and Turner was always a nuffy.

Blair would want to perform and fit in well. A couple of established players within a happy squad will be moved on for him.

Inglis was doing nothing in his final year at Melbourne as well. Says more about his attitude than anything else - he's got the talent but lacks the hunger.

gibbs gives to many penalties away , fulton looks tiered after 10 minutes , big red not playing near last years efforts , big todd is a lose but , blair and woods up front fifita dwyer ellis out there with them then robbie benji timmy molz thats nice , and yes if i was letting players go it wood be robert lui ,and are we keeping another signing quiet just at the moment ?????

Yeah maybe I need to relax.

You'd think we are only waiting to get this game outta the way before announcing the signing.
Should be about Wed next week i reckon

The facts are that the tigers have only made playoffs twice in last 6years.the team culture is somewhat lacking compared to storm ,broncos and dragons.hopefully Blair can lead the way in this department

Remember these two blokes have binding contracts & dont have to go anywhere, is blair worth $500000 i dont think so. will this cause trouble in the club if fulton & gibbs go? i think so. if we loose moors, flannagan, mckinnon, maybe daniella , who i would like to keep & tod retires it must release enough money to buy blair.

Binding contracts mean nothing when you are pushed or threatened to spend your time in reggies…
Is Blair really worth gibbs, fifita, mckinnon, payten, molten, beau ryan and maybe hino ?????????????

This "is Blair worth losing blah blah" rubbish just gets better and better with each thread. At the most I've heard he's gona get $500k(which I doubt), not $1.5M… If these players are all going (again I doubt it), we will be buying more than Adam Blair?!

Everyone whinges about our lack of consistency, only one finals series since 2005\. The club is doing something about it and what happens - everyone whinges. How good can the players we are losing be, if we struggle to be a team that can make the 8.

If they go, oh well so be it. As long as we use the extra money it frees up wisely. I cant wait to see how we go without Benji tomorrow, because I often think it is his inconsistency which brings us undone.
