Everything I'm about to say has been said on here before, but anyway:
Even the best players usually take a season to settle into a new club, even Greg Inglis wasa dud at Souths in his first season there.
Blair looks to have an offload in him but again on Saturday night he had no runners to offload to.
Everyone says he was a success at Melbourne, but if you look at his numbers I think you'll find he has never been a workhorse. If we bought him to run over 100 and make 35 tackles every week, we bought the wrong guy!

Blair simply needs to lift his workrate and quality substantialy in defence and attack. It sounds as though he understands this and is taking steps to rectify the situation. Time will tell.

well you might want to start by hitting up more than twice from inside your 40.
6 hitups is not what i call leading.
and neither is standing behind 2 other players coming out our end,or standing where your fullback is.
doesn't even have a 1% chance of touching the ball no matter what happens in the play.

so far it is exactly like last year.
6 hitups for 40 yards.

Thats the thing,surely Sheens could see his positional play was like a headless chook,he also used to come in as second tackler and then stand uselessly behind the ruck.I can't believe he's the same player that run around with the Storm but 2013 is a new season so here's hoping.

As Paris said Blair does offload but no one seems to run off him, & i agree he was playing to wide last year & he needs to be playing in tighter. Pretty simle really, & has anyone heard anything about Woods injury?.

Round 2 or 3 most likely, went under the knife recently. nothing major. he'll play the majority of the season unless something else comes up.

I think Blair had a series of a few good games in 2010/11 that caught Sheens' eye and we paid overs to secure him...

Blair is what he is and that is a competent backrower nothing special

And now Potter wont drop him because he gets paid top $ and he is a mate of Benji like Moltzen ..has anything changed ?

I just cant take him..and nothing I have seen so far this year makes me think different..

for my liking Blair handfights too much, if he is going to be a competent second rower Potter needs to teach him proper tackling technique.
