I thought he was pretty ordinary out there. Does anyone actually think that effort was anywhere near Ellis performance. To me there is a huge difference in class between the two players.

Yes it is very early in the piece but it wasn't an impressive performance.

On todays effort i woud give him 7 out off 10, he gave away a lot of free kicks, i think it will take him a few weeks to find his feet in a new team.

Yeah 7 or 8 for mine. His sccrambling defence was excellent but his discipline a tad lacking. He is pure quality and will be a sensational buy for us.

I'll kick chase even harder for $500,000 per year and I'd bring the oranges at half time.

He didnt have a lot of impact and I havent really been blown away with him in any match I've seen him play for a long time. There's no doubt he has it in him, but at this point in time (not just today but last 8 months) he needs to do more to impress and to justify his big rep.

I thought he had pretty solid game he had a good one on one strip. Great in defense had some hit ups where he Got a pass away. Gareth Ellis had less ball than Blair both great players I'm happy both are in the team. I'd rather play with. Blair in the team than without him. good win for the tigers. Shame about tsedco I hope John grant gets a run as fullback. He is the quickest runner in the nrl 195cm and 103kg and good in defence give him a go Tim sheens he won't let you down

Started very well but I think the heat got to him.
Overall a good performance.

It looked like the heat got to most of them with the up and down form, then again, it was getting to me and I was just watching…...

He was good, your dreaming if you think otherwise. Played over 80 minutes on a hot humid day. With Ellis camped on one side of the ruck and Blair on the other, back that up with 4 front rowers we have a dam good pack. Blair is all class and he played very well today against a very good pack

Missed too many tackles for me and did look a little lost at times….Ellis is the number 1 second rower on the world hands down.

Couldn't see $500k's worth out there today.

I could.

It kicked the field goal to win the game.

A team is the sum of its parts, and Blair will be part of that team before you know it.

Watching Gibbs, De Gois, Fifita and Morris out there vs Woods, Groat, Blair, Ellis, Heigno, Farah, Marshall, etc… today re-enforced to me the wiser choices we have made over the last few years re player signings, and what we have vs what we COULD have had.

For mine the sharks run the other side away from Blair and that lead them straight at Ellis. Blair did a great strip and when he makes a tackle they take an age to play the ball. I think Blair got pinned once for it but the fact that he slows down the play the ball is one of hids greatest assets.

I think in time he will be great down the left hand edge. Probably needs another 3-4 games to fit in but I think he will be a great buy. He may not be as good as Ellis nut for mine the fact that he is still 25 he has a lot of improvement lleft in him and I for one are very happy he is a tiger player.

Give him time to settle, a lot of Tigers players were rusty today and off their game. Blair was far from the worst of them though, he'll only get better.

He was average I thought. But did anyone honestly see anything from Gibbs and Fifita that made you think you'd rather them instead of Blair? No chance in the world.
