Blake Austin is playing the game of his life

Austin > Reynolds.

Don't think they'd pick him for NSW but he's the type of dude who would not dissapoint.

He passed the ball more ( rather than his usual show and go) maybe it was because he was wearing the number 7.

Absolutely! If they're actually considering Reynolds, then Austin would be a much better option. He has all the speed, back up play and enthusiasm of Reynolds, without the idiot factor. And he has far better ball skills, when he actually chooses to show them. I think he would go very well in Origin.

He certainly is tenacious / competitive enough, but controlled, unlike Reynolds.

He'd be 100/1 for a spot though.

Austin wouldnt look out of place on the bench for NSW as a utility. i mean if myths like Kurt Gidley can play so many origins off the bench then Austin could certainly.

There was no reason to let Austin go a year early. What did we achieve by doing that ?

We gave a footballer who had no chance of playing FG with us a chance… And I for one am please for him

The 3 tries he scored were the definition of opportunistic.

Opportunistic or not he scored a hat trick. He's a good player and getting better with each game he plays.
Seems to have found his feet with Canbera. I wish him all the best. Except when he plays against us of course

Spot on Alexaki

Reynolds seems to have a lot of brain snaps doesn't he? You think he would've learned from past experiences. Tripping??? Really. So unprofessional. That's twice he's done it now. Doesn't seem to handle pressure very well. If things don't go his or the team's way, he looses it and resorts to the grubby tactics he's known for.
Time to grow up Josh.

Third time actually, should be a lengthy suspension

Reynolds lacks skill and class. His major strength is his competitiveness but this sometimes gets the better of him.

Totally agree. If dud players like Reynolds, Buhrer, Gidley and Dean Young were considered good enough to play Origin then Austin deserves to be considered too. He is the form player out of any half in NSW at the moment.

Are you two serious.

No chance of playing first grade in this mighty Wests Tigers team but here he is being talked about for Origin.

Have a good think about that.

I would pick him as the SOO 6\. I think he is the best option. At the same time I can understand letting him go from the Tigers but I'm not sure it will turn out to be the right decision. Its just not as outright a dumb decision for instance as losing Koro.

Lol sure Blake has played some good footy but origan no no no no no he has shown how he goes to sleep in the 2nd half a of games and bombs deadset certain try's so origin no

Who are you comparing him too though - Reynolds and Maloney. Its not like those two are great players.
