Hasn’t He’s been dropped for rushing out of the defensive line? If we took him on and his bad old traits couldn’t be fixed then he’d be a defensive liability for us. Ivan has done well so far with others that have had bad defence . If he could change certain aspects of Austin’s game he’d be great. But that’s a big “if”.

I'd like to see him at centre, for the fullback role I'd like us to sign a specialist fullback.

Only based in the post that we might be after Austin. We have enough halves. Why chase Austin if Cleary is coming? Just guessing .

Ok controversial opinion.
I would take him. But can't see where he would fit.

5/8 is out, unless Reynolds injuries force an early retirement.
So remove NR6 from his jersey, he could make a great center.
Players like SKD and Jamie Lyon play Center a little like a 5/8\. Moving Austin to Center would boost our attack, he is a decent unit and while he needs coaching in Defense. He can handle the physical brunt.

Would be a great upgrade on Kevie, would hate to see it but maybe more attack then Marsters.

Now we won't sign this guy. We have Reynolds. Austin is leaving Canberra because he wasn't selected and if he can't cope with not being selected. He will not fit with Cleary(it must be an ex Penrith link).
That being said: he is NOT moses. Moses left us for dead. We punted Austin to keep Moses.
All I have heard, Austin has had a great attitude and a real community builder.

We need to save our money for N Cleary. We won't sign him unless he comes dirt cheap. If dirt cheap and/or Canberra paying the load. Hell yes.

It's not like he won't pass, especially under Cleary…

Ivan knows his game better than any of us, if he does come I'm willing to trust Cleary's judgement on what position he will play best at

Look it was and is a complex situation that is not easy to explain or one that I can really go into. It’s just my opinion, Everyone is entitled to their own.
