" Centre Blake Ayshford will have an X-ray today on a possibly broken left hand."

I saw him at Ruby's after the game. It didn't seem like his hand was injured badly.

Probably because the hand was numb through the needle. It will be interesting to see if the prognosis is correct, then one would imagine Ayshford will be looking at 4-6 weeks depending on the extend of the break/fracture.

Daniela to cover the right centre position in his absence. The bloke has made every post a winner when handed the No.3 jersey so far in 2010\. He has been solid.

To be honest I think Daniela should get another go at right centre anyway. He does look alot faster than Ayshford and Daniela has also improved his defence this year.

If he broke his hand in the first half, why didn't Sheens use Daniela?

If Tim thinks Geoff is that bad in defence, is he a walk-up start go be named today???

Yeah that's what I'd like to know too. Obviously they wouldn't have known his hand was broken, but given that he did have an injured hand and we had a center sitting on the bench, it makes no sense as to why Daniela wasn't used and yeah it is a concern that based on that, Daniela may not be a walk-up start to the team.

Anyway, hopefully we'll see Sheens replace a center with a center.

Very interesting take on League Ulimited as to why Daniela did't get off the bench.

I can only hope is BS because it infers a few problems behind the scenes.

and dare I ask…..what's their take on it?

Several points are mentioned which are nothing more then hearsay. I certainly can't confirm them.

It is claimed that Sheens was instructed to drop Fizty from above.

Fitzy was very unhappy to be dropped as he expected more loyalty.

Sheens forced to drop his man then planned to only use 16 man in retalliation.

Daniella being 17th man didnt get on the field despite injury to Ashford.

Im sure some of the so called insiders on this site would probably know the truth.

They had to know. Why would he of gotten an injection at Halftime?!

No doubt it was suspected.

In a tight game it is quite probable they did not want to interfere with the right side defensive combination unless they had to as it was working well

or League Uninformed, or League Unintelligible

It's certainly a good story anyway

Didin't seem to effect Fitzhenry….Won the players player award for Wests against CC....played lock ...set up a couple of tries.....

Funniest thing is Fitzy, Brown, Daniela or whoever the back on the been have played Zero or 3 mins gametime ...unless an injury was serious enough to require interchanging....

Ayhsford didn't look in to much dicomfort out there to me...

Sheens being dictated to from above on team selections.....right

AYSHFORD A CHANCE OF TACKLING SOUTH SYDNEY
3/08/2010 12:27:14 PM

Wests Tigers centre Blake Ayshford is a chance of playing against South Sydney Rabbitohs at ANZ Stadium this Saturday night.

Coach Tim Sheens said x-rays showed a fine break in Ayshford's left hand and the club was awaiting on further CT scans. He added Ayshford would likely be named in the team this afternoon but would be monitored during the week.

Later today, WTV will bring you what Sheens and captain Robbie Farah had to say to the media at training this morning.
