Blake Ferguson

I'm indifferent. Would rather we had less Origin players but off field problems aside I've always rated him. Noticed him in that unfortunate game where Rowdy dislocated his hip and he scored 2 pretty decent tries from memory. Didn't realize he was so big until they started comparing him to Inglis (bad move).

This time last year we had a lot of strike backs in reserves all pushing for first grade. While the lower grades have been solid this year, to me there's no real stand outs in terms of depth for next year.

And while a Nofo, Fergo, Simona and Koro backline looks amazing, without forwards rolling us downfield and quality halves to get the ball out wide, they'd be standing wide getting a cold.

Would rather sign a gun forward first.

We signed a gun foward in Martin Tapau he can play. Look at what sea eagles signed in brenten lawrence his been very good this year doesnt have to be a big name and btw i think we have heaps of props for next year lets give them a chance and see how they go next year. This year i thought we were going okey with our go foward but just not scoring when we have good ball we just make silly mistakes everytime.

Despite the horrible season we are going to be a team on the rise in the next few seasons if our boom cubs come to the party, but there's nothing to suggest they won't.

How about sending rowdy the other way to sweeten the deal, but if he was to come to Sydney I would imagine Parra would be the destination.

I would be signing him ASAP. Would be a great asset would give us the X- factor we need. If our forwards stay fit that is. A risk I would take

Brooks would have plenty of options flying through. I think our forwards will be good as long as they stay healthy.Woods, Galloway, Patterson ,Tapua, Blair, Sirro, BMM,,Ava Sue,ect??

I think that we should make a genuine attempt to sign this bloke if he becomes available. He's still quite young and potentially has a huge future in the game. Would be an absolute asset and could prove to be the x-factor we lack.

And our clean skinned top blokes turn out to be backstabbing jerks.

Too true. Publicaly clean skins can cause just as much problem behind the scenes as the "bad boys".

What I will say is that Knights took a punt on Mason, Cronulla on Carney, Dragons on Dugan, Cowboys on Lui… bad boys perhaps, but it is true in sport that if you have the talent then all can be forgiven.

Not that any other scenario is a predictor for Ferguson, but despite all the cockiness and baggage, he is still an outstanding young prospect. Else Raiders would have daggered him long ago.

It also needs to be considered that in the modern game, many of the young talents have been living exceptional lives with exceptional expectations since they were teenagers. I think myself about how much learning and growing up I did in university, part-time jobs and then starting my career - young footballers don't have this same experience. Instead they are constantly praised, talked about in the media, offered big money, made famous. It is thus not surprising that some of these kids turn out to be d!ckheads and do a lot of "growing up" in the public eye.

But if Todd Carney can seem to get his act together, then there is hope for any footballer. And if you need a first-class centre (and we do) then we'd be mad not to at least sniff around.

We have run with a "no d!ckheads" policy for a long time under Sheens. There can be some argument that only playing likable, honest, hard-working players leaves you somewhat short in the aggression / toughness / confidence / arrogance / brilliance department, and the reality is that these latter attributes are often what wins tight games. Think of Benji's arrogant brilliance in 2005 and how that has disappeared, along with an inability to close out clutch games.

We don't need him.

We don't need Richards either, but we have him.

We can't just jump at any player thats available, thats a Sheens tactic and its got us where we are today.

We need to sign where we have no depth/quality

Back row and halves.

a few props in the rotation would help too.

A gun forward would be a Burgess. Taupau is still a depth player at the moment

How's his indecent assault charge coming along? I'd wait for that to play out before signing him. He's certainly a big risk, but based on the quality we've got for next year, he is one worth taking.

Quality player, but an out-and-out DH.

In my opinion, better off giving the young guys a go & let Richards, Lulua (??), Lawrence & maybe Tuqiri offer the veteran leadership. Simona, Nofa, Koro…that's the Tigers future, not some problem child who is mates with Mundine, which likely means managed by Khoder.

I should add, in my opinion, you don't win premierships based on the strength of your outside backs. The Tigers should invest their limited funds more wisely.

keep on dreamin…he wont come here...Dogs will snare him,

yeah if Dogs lose Barba and can't nab Folau they'll probably go hard at him

We have some talent in our backs anyway, wouldn't be too upset not to get Ferguson

This guy needs to much babysitting , Fantastic player on any given day but is just plain dumb .
Not worth the headache plus would command big money .

Offer him a fair deal and see. Glad fans here want him and have learned from the debacles from last year as they were preaching good people over good players.

"He desperately misses Sydney, having recently spent a month under the care of Mundine at his home in Sydney’s south. "

What a wuss. He is in Canberra for God's sake - a few hours from Sydney southern suburbs
