These rumors are on because we are the only club with a massive amount of money to spend right now.
Next year it will be another club with a massive "war chest" linked to another big name.

Centre/Wing no fullback. 800k way too much. Article seems like fake news.
 
Where would we play him? If he plays centre, then thier needs to be a shift with Suli or Idris. If he plays wing, then Nofo would have to shift to FB. If Nofo or Ferguson play FB, what happens to Tui?

Lolohea could play wing in reserve grade….a lot of experience there...
 
I'd saty this article is full of crap. Ferguson was given the fullback role at the start of last year and lasted literally 2 or 3 weeks. No way would the club be offering him 800k. I'd offer him 500 tops, and as a centre.

If we're offering $800K to Fergo, I would rather give it to someone like Dugan. He couldn't command anymore than $800K and is a first choice fullback.

Some have shot it down before stating we need a ball playing fullback.. Well Fergo isn't a fullback, let alone a ball playing fullback.
 
I wouldn't pay 800k for him, and certainly not to play fullback. He's at his best in the centres.
 
sounds like absolutely nothing to this. doesnt make sense in a number of ways.
i really hope it is BS. dont rate ferguson at all, and from the outside he doesnt even seem like he is fit for the culture at the club.
 
I wouldn't want Ferguson for fullback, it's definitely not his position. He's a winger or a center and 500k is probably the maximum you'd pay for him. Having said that though, this rumour is from 5th tackle so it doesn't have much credibility.
 
Not sure if the $800K figure is correct, I'd be happier if it was $600K-$700K mark.
 
Cant see Ferguson considering us and if he did his attitude would have had to had a massive shift. Not the player he was and not a patch on Dugan.
I would love to have Dugan matured as a player and seems to have got his act together off the field -( although there are never any guarantees) - just seems incredibly injury prone.
 
Dugan is class, he's made of tissue and spit though, he's probably spent more time out injured than fit in the last few years.
