Tim is gone and Blocker is in,that is a good start to fixing the joint,as Blocker is only in a purely commercial role it will work,there is no mention of not getting an old Magpie to come come on board as well, so this shouldn't be a problem,and I am an old Wests supporter..

The best way to look at this is that we have someone from outside the old structure (Manly & GWS) who is trying to make the most of every tool available to him in promoting the club. It isn't about anything more then that. Considering the profile Roach holds in the media it is smart.

Wouldn't mind seeing Joel Caine used for that reason as well

As an old Balmain guy, I am happy for Blocker to be as far away from WT as possible. Hopefully I guess that as a "commercial" role, his influence will be negligble.

There is no Balmain forum. From my perspective I just want the right people for the job. Which is why I didn't complain when Terry Lamb, Joe Thomas, Andrew Leeds etc have been appointed to roles at the club. Their background doesn't bother me, their future performance does…

For the same reason that Roach is of use I wouldn't mind seeing langmack bought into a similar role.

The corporate dollar is in part captured by appealing to the decision makers memories of football. Decision makers are in or around my age bracket, that age bracket is influenced by their experiences with the game in their formative years.

I am not all that excited about Roach, haven't been for well over a decade. Loved him as a player but always saw him as a bit of a liability.

But at least he is a prominent personality in the media, and it is better for him to be talking us up than not.

I guess we'll just have to wait and see how he goes…

As long as he manages to utter the words 'WESTS Tigers' and not just Tigers 100% of the time then he is welcome at WT to me.

I'd love to see Roach and Raudonikis together in a commercial approach. Everyone is happy, both would die for their team and both very much identify with their old clubs WHICH ARE BOTH moulded into the one club…..WESTS TIGERS!
