Blocker to Join WT

Using some people's logic we can only bring past players who have played for both sides of the joint venture

I then suppose the issue with these same people would be if they played 3 more game for one of the jv clubs than the other ….....

Look , most clubs in the NRL would be quite happy to bring someone on board with Blocker's experience We complain because he is from one side of the merger

I would be much happier if the person was Paul Sironen.Now hes a leader of men.A long time policeman and businessman who has a good grasp of how to succeed in life through hardwork,smarts and can do it with leaving an imprint of style and substance.Benji was down the star casino the other night playing poker (with robbie farah Ill add) and he was off his face.Not making an idiot of himself however but plenty wasted cause he was slurring his speech big time and fumblin chips chronic.The reason I write this is because two tables behind him was paul sironen keeping a good eye on them with these two drunks not even realising it.I understand they have time off so they can drink but you could just tell Sirro who has a very well behaved kid(met him plenty of times)no tatts and always politely spoken(but is Just like his dad on the field re ferocity) nows how to nurture young men ala Wayne Bennett.Roach is a dimwit two cent comedian.Great heart Roach has but Sirro is the leader of men.Roach aint.

My Father-in-law taught Paul Sironen in high school many years ago. Said he was always well behaved and had a good head on his shoulders. As for Blocker, while I think he's prone to making some pretty ill-informed comments, I'll reserve judgement until I see him in action for the WT, depending on what his role encompasses.

Put simply he has a champion mentality.The whole winning starts on monday mentality that really only Hasler and Bennett understand at the moment.Sirro cares about people and knows the importance of living a good life and how it reflects on your field re preparation,professionalism and desire.Dump Roach get Sirro.I dont dislike roach he has a good heart but Sirro is the guy we need and has been under our noses for the last 2 years with his son in grade but yet again our recruitment Dept. has missed the whale under our nose and gone to manly to catch a tadpole.

After loosing Beau Ryan and his TV gig, we need to get a few more people out there to promote our club. The more you hear about us, the more your curious about us. Blocker was doing pretty good on his new TV show, so any plug is a good plug, unless he put his foot in it. Lets hope not. Sirro would also be a excellent candidate.

As a balmain fan I have tol laugh how you crap on a wests Legend but then in the same breath you talk about former tiger legend but avid dimwit roach like hes a good appointment.Your comment just like yossarians a little earlier is the exact reason there is a wests/balmain divide.Tommy raudonkiks played about 30 times for Australia and captained Australia on a number of occasions he coached NSW TO SUCCESS in origin and took a Wests side to the semis in 1996 who ricky stuart or wayne bennett would of struggled getting them anything but a wooden spoon.Tommy was never in a prime when it came to talking about a game but one look of tommys eyes when he commanded you was stronger than A million "words" froma Brian smith or tim sheens.Put simply there are talkers and there are leaders and Tommy was,is and will always be a leader.Blocker was a legend of the game also but to talk about one in glowing terms and to dump on the other guy "from the darkside" is kindergarten stuff.P.S I am a balmain fan so dont try to blame it on some "anti Western suburbs paranoia".

Gee thats so funny seeing as Russell Mullins was my favorite player as a boy and i actually came drom the Wests side of the ledger.Ill repeat just for you ,i never endorsed B;ocker , just said he MAY ADD SOME MUCH NEEDED MONGREL.its people like you who who DavidTrodden were refering to .go forward , not ;ive in the past because.
Fools that believe Wests people are owed something .We were gone until Balmain decided to go with us .accept that and move on . I follow the Wests Tigers and they are the only team i am worried about .Any inclusion to our coaching staff that can help improve our team is a bonus and i couldnt give a stuff about where they came from.
Tommy is a legend , but he has had way too many schooners to be of any value to any NRL side , hey you donr see any clubs knocking on his door for his help .

For whatever reason the club decided to let Ryan go if they wanted to really keep him they would have.

I spotted Sirro working at camp concord when i was there earlier this year and when i went to gearzone at concord a couple of weeks ago to pick up some gear with our membership vouchers, i asked the guy at the counter if Sirro was still working for the club and he said yes. (not sure what his role is with the club though)

i would have liked to see him and an ex wests player team up for promotions , etc , etc , langmack , was fairly popular and i think works for the nrl , somebody who played against blocker , and if that dont work , simple scrap it and go for a high profile wests tigers supporter ( not polotics barry ) just a good sort may help
