Blocker's Back...

This thread is a load of bollocks.

if it wasnt for Balmain I wouldnt support the WT's.

Why do I have to forget everything that happened before WT's to go foward with the WT's.

I say embrace our past.As long as it doesnt divide.

Blocker was one of our best and loves the tigers, and has a media presence….I'm all for it.

And Id be happy with Tommy,Noel Kelly,Siro.....anyone who played for our former clubs and can help us move forward im happy to have them on....these guys are legends and deserve some respect.

I'M ok with that so long as a few WT and Maggies greats are invited.

And so long as he doesn't promote Brookie games over WT home games at Campbelltown.

As far as I'm concerned,if he does his job and secures revenue for the club through marketing and sponsorship and doesn't stick his nose in where it's not needed, then I don't have a problem with him…..

Hopefully he has learnt from past errors.....

I agree - who cares which side of the JV he's from, if he's securing sponsorship and revenue for the club be using his profile and the admiration among Tigers fans, where is the problem?

Not a lot of people know, but it was actually Blocker who signed on Brydens Lawyers as a sponsor a couple of years ago (their owner is a big former Balmain fan), then Mayer decided to claim it was him, which is part of the reason Blocker was flicked.

Its essentially just an old school player try to chat up other old geezers who work in large companies, trying to squeeze some $$$ out of them for the WT. What's wrong with that?

If we send in a snotty nosed kid to chat up those money men they'll largely get deflected. If they can relate better to a Blocker, Tommy or whomever, then great - get a few of the former players to try bring in some cash to the club.

If they succeed, great. If they don't, no harm done.

What's the big deal ffs

minor role, firmly in the who cares basket for me….

he is a high profile guy, they suit ambassador roles.

On ex legends, wish we could find away to get Jack Coggar (son of Trevor) to see some Wests love and join us, kid can play! Pretty sure the knights have locked him up for the time being.

Love your work Simon.

He was some player. I personally haven't seen a prop who can offload like he did. I think he is also a decent guy that gets a little too loose at times.

Be in my Top 5 props I've seen ST

Lazo , Webcke ,Block ,Beetson and Harragon in no particular order

In this day and age they'd almost take up your entire salary cap

And I thought he was the little bald bloke swinging his mop down the catwalk

Depends how long he has been at Nimbin eating his "vegetarian" pies Flip

Liverpool do this really well with the ex players, they just do meet and greets and are not involved in the coaching.
So if that's blockers role, it isn't a bad thing.

Just when you thought the club was starting to make some good off-field decisions. What's wrong with Skando, Hodgo or Buckets? Hell even Darren Senter.
