Blues have had enough

I'll tell you why N.S.W lost that convincing , as soon as Merrit was selected on the wing that was a 2 to 3 tries start , Daley is no coach , Reynolds on the bench ????? he's got nothing at this level , Woods not given enough game time .
We were on the back foot from the start , Origin football is known for maybe 2 to 3 penalties for the whole game yet within the 1st 10 minutes I think there was 3 already in the 1st 10 minutes Queenslanders way . Yeah great job Meninga , your winging worked well after game 1 , the refs surely read the papers.

Origin is the strongest its ever been in NSW.

But if NSW had won 7 in a row would we be seeing the same thing north of the Tweed? But yeah, QLD have the rights to spirit and passion etc.

Yeah no doubt , no one is denying they are a great side .
When you start singing the Queensland song after an Australian win that's when you know there being c@cky and disrespectful.

Nothing like hiding under a rock and coming out swinging after a victory hey.

Actually if you went back through the threads you would find that none of us were hiding or whinging. I even started a thread congratulating NSW on their victory! Nothing fair weathered about us champ. We take losses on the chin and celebrate our wins. Maybe people are jealous because we are celebrating more than usual perhaps? Either way, the real celebrations wont start for another three weeks….From what i have seen, only a scandal in the QLD camp will stop another series win for the maroons.

I'd very much agree SOO is the strongest it has ever been in NSW… I can never recall so much passion being displayed by some of the players and fans as there has been this year.

I'd say this will be Gallen's legacy for NSW!

I do too Watto…

For all intents and purposes, Gallens SOO career has been a losing one. However he has helped install passion into the state. Gallen will not leave a winning legacy as he has never been involved in a victorius series side after making his debut in 2006 and has played through the brunt of the QLD dominance. That being said, he has led by example and brought an air of aggression into the NSW side. NSW had some awesome sides before Gal played but they won on talent alone. He plays with talent and guts. He has played in some aweful state sides and put up with the rampant nepotism and 'boysclub' selections that went with them. He has always had a go.

That being said, Gal is in my top 3 dirtiest players of the past decade. He was a filthy player when he first hit the scene and as he gained his reputation as a hard man he got worse. His attitude of doing whatever is necessary to win sometimes borders on cheating with him taking dives, coathangering his opposites and that disgraceful incident when he stuck his fingers into a players wound and tried to rip his stitches out.He constantly drives his elbow or forearm into the tackled players face on the ground and is always looking to win by means other than playing the great football we know he can.

This has earnt him the tag of the NSW villian north of the border, which in a funny way may help NSW as well. His attitude of balls to the wall, rip and tear is starting to rub off on the new generation and that also will help NSW in the long run. He is 32 at the moment and fast running out of opportunities to be involved in a series win, but his legacy as you guys have said may well be to spur the blues on to successive victories in the coming years. I dont know whether he will still be playing by then but you never know....

With all the effort Gallen's put in it will be unfortunate that karma (for his grubby past) will rob him from leading the blues to Victory. If his current injury keeps him out of SOO3, it may be Farah as captain, that gets to lead NSW to a series win in SOO3

Dribble ????? look at your dribble , you didn't tell me the bit where you have legit Queenslanders playing , god you talk crap , live on the Border , I Work in N.S.W side and listen to the Queenancies that work with me dribble, but come over the Border to collect there pay checks and wanna complain about New South Welshman's.
No one is denying there is some legit top Queenancies in that side , but to say there was no intent in Slater's elbow ? Well Happy doesn't seem to think so , please just admit it .
Gallen is no Angel as well as Merrin , but it's about time they stood up , and Hodges should of been decked as well , kept tapping Dugan's head .
The tide will turn don't worry about that, keep chirping

Appologise for the late reply but it has taken me a while to decipher the rambling nature of your dribble riddled post above

Your original point was that NSW have had enough of QLD's arrogance and apparent disrespect and are now standing up for themselves. This is BS. Gallen said this to defend his actions in game 1 (which I had no problems with BTW). Why didnt we see them do something similar in game 2? Some claim that Merrin did but what I saw him do was lay a couple powder puff punches into a blokes head when he wasnt looking. Very reminiscent of what Ennis did a couple of years ago. That isnt taking the fight to the 'domineering and disrespectful' QLDers…that is being a dog and a coward. At least Gal had the balls to look his opponent in the eyes and tell him exactly why he was doing it.

Sure there are some grubby QLD players - this isnt in question. However before you launch into your diatribe about them and say they have it coming, look at your own backyard. In the last 3 years, NSW have selected and played

Gallen
Bird
Watmough
G Stewart
Ennis
B Stewart
Carney
Dugan
Fergusson
Tamou

Good footballers yes, but hardly 1 ounce of respectability amongst them.

I agree there not all clean slate, but the players that you have mentioned is more related with problems outside footy
Tamou = had a problem outside footy (DUI) , not a dirty player in my eyes
Fergusson = is just brain dead and his problems are outside the footy field .
Dugan = his problems are outside the footy field (the drink)
Carney =had problems outside the footy field, but has settled down over the years
B Stewart = don't know what his done wrong ? Found not Guilty by the courts with that episode a couple of years ago with that girl , or cause he ran in from a distance for his brother with the Blair all in brawl?
Ennis= is nothing but a sledger and whinges to the refs .
G Stewart = plays it hard but not a grub IMO.
Watmough= Do think he has some dirtiness in him
Bird = had problems outside football , but has settled down at the Titans, to me is Warrior that has his mates covered , not grub though
Gallen = In the past has been a dirty player very dirty and has probably gained a reputation of a cheap shorter now and taken his frustration out at something the ref never took control of.

What I call a grub is SLATER no if but's or nothing and don't try and convince me other wise , Myles also has a lot of dirtiness in his game Leading with his head in tackles and twisting the leg when tackles complete.
Anyway your entitled to your opinion just like I am , but my Original topic is in regards to the level of disrespect that Queenslanders have had and the cockiness when playing for the Aussie 's and singing the Yippee song , and also the legit players that have played for Queensland has been an absolute joke , that's it …..

Gallen installed passion? Yep, because of course we had none before he arrived.

Only QLD could have passion about Origin.
